Morris Audio is celebrating its 120th release with a splendid 4 track compilation EP called “Homedrills” featuring Decent Rides, The Mechanical Man, Tree Threes and Keita Sano. Busy Bavarian duo Decent Rides open “Homedrills” with classic housey groover for those hot club nights, followed by Italian up and coming producer The Mechanical Man with a proper old school house tune in a Nu Groove style. After 2 full EPs, we’re happy to have Ireland’s finest Tree Threes on board as well with his deep and dynamic “Check it out”. Our Japanese friend Keita Sano finishes off this mighty compilation with his signature track “Everywhere” – just beats, pianos and breaks!

It sure has been a long time coming but finally Vince Watson is back with a new album that follows up his well regarded debut from some 20 odd years ago, Biologique, and sophomore effort Moments In Time. Another Moment In Time is a rich house exploration with a tendency towards the deep and always magical melodies. It's timeless and tasteful material that is all expertly arranged and executed from the gentle piano joys of 'Peace Of Mind' to the reflective and jazzy chords of 'Lost In The Deep'. One of the cuts, 'Rendezvous' has appeared in a different form on Carl Craig's Planet E but here gets a 'Finale' version that brings classic house drums with widescreen synth work and warm chord vamps.

This vinyl is the result of all the love DJ Sneak has been putting into his music over his 3-decade long legendary career. After producing countless dancefloor hits, the original House Gangsta came very close to stopping the DJ tour life altogether before the lockdown. « I grew tired of it all and experienced a bit of an artistic burn out » he confesses . « I wondered for a while if I was still relevant after all this time, if I still had something to say, if I still wanted to be part of the record labels still pushing vinyl ,I was still eager to make this music and go out to play it loud …».

Vinyls put the passion back into his heart, they revived the desire to create these unique beats that make people dance in clubs everywhere on the planet. «My vinyl collection was in storage and I decided to take it back home. I started playing the records, just for me, just for fun, rediscovering all these tracks I am so fond of, the original House sound that I adore. And it reminded me why I love this music so much, where it all comes from. It’s all in these vinyls ». Vinyl again is the reason why he approached Frappé : « You guys cut vinyls » the first message went… DJ Sneak has such a long and beautiful common history with the parisian scene - from the mid 90s with young folks who would later develop a strong taste for sporting robot masks, to contemporary French artists and labels – that it felt right and easy to put this record together and call it simply the « Chicago House » EP.

This new collaboration on Frappé is a bit like a new start, these 4 tracks keep up the Sneak sound pure, raw and as powerful as it has always been. It’s made to be played out live, at parties in Paris, Chicago and all around the world, on vinyl, and this Frappé release.

LABEL'S CABLE: Happiness Therapy

DJ, promoter, and insatiable music explorer, Alan.D (@dj-aland) is a true local activist who has likely made you dance for over a decade on the most beautiful stages in Nantes (Paco Tyson, Goûtez Électronique...).

Since 2013, he has also been the programmer at Rond Point Café in Nantes; a place where he champions musical eclecticism, just as evident in his often diverse mixes.

From Rotterdam to Paris and even Geneva, he has shared the stage with numerous renowned artists from the international music scene. His monthly residency "Rythm" has gradually become a hallmark of the House music scene in the city of Nantes.

Behind the decks, he offers a journey into the very essence of House Music, influenced by jazz, disco, funk, and the club culture of the early 90s.
