"Fortunea Records is thrilled to present 2 great Italian producers for its 33rd record. DJ Rocca & Mike Riviera will release their 4 tracks packed Night Jamz EP this spring on the Austrian label to shake up the dancefloors with their combined power of raw and snappy warehouse grooves.

The former is a living legend! He began his career in the late 1990s with drum’n’bass-, breakbeat- and future jazz productions under the brand Maffia Soundsystem, which was also a club in Italy where he was the main resident dj. What followed was an impressive work history in the house and disco scene with many memorable tracks and collaborations with artists such as Dimitri From Paris as Erodiscotique or Marcello Giordani under the moniker Supersonic Lovers.

Michele Tessadri aka Mike Riviera resides in Berlin and is mostly known for his italo disco inspired productions with Luc Sauvage. But he released also solo under pseudonyms such as Fratelli Riviera on the labels Slow Motion and Bear Funk and occasionally works on impressive edits of disco- and funk records."

PREMIERE: DJ Rocca & Mike Riviera - HAUS

DJ Cat comes through on Scruniversal here as the young label continues to go from strength to strength early in its existence. This time he serves up some re-edits and reworks of old and rare records from Scru's friends' collections. Up first is 'Roots & Culture' which is a languid funk workout with Prince style vocals bring some libidinous vibes up top while sci-fi synths and raw claps and perc all flesh out the groove. 'Possibelle' then cuts loose on a much more laid back and steamy summer vibe with the sort of chords that have you laying back in the park and staring up at a cloudless sky.

This new project will mark a shift in Cécille’s output as the long running and widely beloved label steps embraces the long player format, one which allows artists to delve deeper into their influences and showcase a diversity of styles. Something which is perfectly encapsulated here with this new project by Cabin Luv Affair.
Across the thirteen track album, Cabin Luv Affair offers up an amalgamation of styles from the smooth Parisian and filter House feels of tracks like opener ‘Vida (Intro), ‘Naked In Love (Pimpin Ain’t Easy Mix) and ‘Feelin’ Good But Lonely’ through
to more classic Disco-tinged House cuts like ‘Right Or Wrong’, ‘Lo Que Soy’ and closing track ‘To The Moon And Back’.
Also on offer are some tracks aesthetically deeply rooted in raw house music in its purest form, like the dreamy chord and crisp rhythm fuelled ‘Mirror In Mirror’, the swinging, bumpy groove of the aptly titled ‘Magic Ride’ and the bouncy, swinging
drum groove, soaring vocals and choppy stab sequences making up ‘Over Your Face’. Cabin Luv Affair also throws in some playful interlude like tracks with ‘Follow The Path (Skit)’ and the low-slung hip-hop tinged ‘Play The Game (Skit)’ to truly capture the sonic exploratory feel a long player format allows.

He works a local record store, which also happens to be a record label releasing more funk/soul oriented stuff on vinyl. he has released EP’s on the Amsterdam based “Tomorrow is now, Kid!” London based “Monologues Records” and Feedasoul Records from Libanon. He is a vivid digger/collector who loves to fool around with a very broad range of musical genres, but for House Salad Music he recorded an exclusive mix containing (mostly;)) only house music.}

Dutch producer and DJ Poko poko pushes an eclectic house and disco sound that oozes charisma, funk, soul, colour and good energy. Releasing on acclaimed imprints like Monologues Records, Feedasoul, House Cookin’ and Tomorrow Is Now Kid! He’s building a very impressive catalogue and a global fanbase with it.
 
His name comes from the Italian musical direction Poco a poco – ‘little by little’. “I’ve always felt strongly related to that term and used it a lot when the world around me felt like moving too fast” he says. “This project should be a life’s work and should evolve over time. Wherever it goes or takes me. No pressure, no obligations, just a way of living.” And so it has gone in his freewheeling journey as Poko poko so far, building up his production output and finding increasing success on quality house music labels, as well as some free downloads given away by the likes of Eton Messy and successful edits released to world wide acclaim.

Often to be found spreading his musical gospel in clubs in the Southern side of the Netherlands, he also sounds out musical missives from his @atmym radio show. “It can vary from long-lost funk and disco treasures to early ‘90s Chicago or acid house and from slick mid-tempo West Coast boogie and late ‘70s soul steppers to new wave or psychedelic rock and back to techno and electro again. I like catchy, snappy and quirky stuff, so if there’s a common theme which runs through my style as a DJ, it must be that.”
