Ladybird is a French/Australian songwriter/singer with soul and jazz influences... She started out in Paris playing in Acid Jazz bands and with French rap artists before creating the collective "Soldiers of Twilight" with producers DJ Rork and Demon Ritchie.

"Soldiers of Twilight" have put out a number of singles (12") such as "Drive On", "Beautiful", "City Life" and the hit single "Believe", and are playlisted by the likes of Danny Rampling, Pete Tong, Kerri Chandler, Larry Heard, Tony Humphries, Kenny Hawke, Danny Krivit, Masters at Work, Dennis Ferrer and Martin Solveig. They tour frequently in Europe, Asia and the US...

Ladybird also collaborated with Llorca (label Fcommunication) on his first album "Newcomer", writing and singing the hit singles "My Precious Thing" and "True to Me".

She toured with Llorca for the promotion of the album around the world, performing in Canada, Australia, the US, Europe and Scandinavia.

She has featured with producers such as Ralf Gum, Brian Cox "The Wizard", Greg Kozo, Hallex M, Aqua Bassino, DJ Le Roi, Andy Compton to name a few.

Her self-entitled solo album "Ladybird" is out on Peng Records (UK), produced by Andy Compton (The Rurals).

More than 15 years as a dj have matured Raúl's sound with his new project called Human By Nature. A long career on the scene as a promoter, owner of clubs and bars in his city Zacatecas have contributed to a very special musical profile that he transmits on dancefloor.

His music is inspired by the classic house and the old sample techniques, drums with a lot of swing, jazz chords and dirty grooves, which have formed a very own sound. He also uses this perspective in his dj sets, always trying to make contrasts between more sophisticated sounds up to acid house.

In this way he has managed to attract the attention of different producers such as Phil Weeks and sign in labels like: Robsoul Recordings, Late Night Jackin, Deeplomatic Recordings, MoodyHouse records etc.

His last production on Robsoul got in the Jackin House chart reaching the top 20 and stayed in for two weeks.

He is also the founder of Fonica the leading brand of electronic music events in his city Zacatecas, Mexico. Which has promoted parties for more than 6 years in addition to continuing giging out to cities such as CDMX, Playa del Carmen, Oaxaca, etc

This week’s special guest is Karen Scargall, who DJs under the name of Miss Chief. Her sound has a distinctive funky disco vibe, sometimes crossing into house, and she always plays uplifting sets with energy, variety and interest. I’m very excited to welcome Miss Chief to the show!

** MISS CHIEF DJ BIO **
Growing up and going out when hip hop and acid house was taking the world by storm, this is where Karen’s journey in the industry began. Music was her passion and during the 90s she discovered progressive house music. Karen first learned how to mix on Technics 1210s and her love for discovering new music was always paramount.Going clubbing was all about being educated in music. Hearing fresh tunes and going over to Eastern Bloc twice a week to get those tracks.

Fast forward 15 years, caring for her children, Karen then started to go out to gigs again but they were reunions, all old tunes and it left her feeling uninspired after a while.

In 2017 Karen checked out a Greg Wilson mix and straight away was blown away by the fresh funky sound and once again she felt that “oh my goodness, what is this track moment “? This inspired her to purchase digital decks and immerse herself in the world of DJing, and being a guest DJ on countless radio shows.

Karen co-ran Downtown Disco events in 2018/ 2019 inviting incredible artists such as Dr Packer, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Babert, Michael Gray, Ladies on Mars and Fingerman to name just a few for the lineups.

At the end of 2018, Karen went on to co-manage Downtown Disco Agency representing artists such as Michael Gray, Barry & Gibbs, Dave Leatherman, HP Vince, Re-Tide,Babert, Tropical Disco, Da Lukas, Funkatomic, Fingerman, C 

In 2020 Karen joined forces with Lenny Fontana who has been such an inspiration and taught Karen so much about life in the music industry. She works alongside Lenny at Karmic Power Records, helping to put together the incredible ‘True House Stories’ shows which have become so popular.

Karen is also the brainchild behind a few International Takeover shows on NDC Radio such as Stateside, The Italian Job plus many more. She is also responsible for gathering a crew of social and talented DJs who are known as "The Waltons", who feature on rotation for a Sunday night show on NDC.

2021 will be an exciting year for Miss Chief, where she hopes to take her music on the road and play at clubs and events, as well as more radio show appearances. Watch out for Miss Chief over the coming year!

Behind the Di Saronno project, Francesco “Frank” Ferraro born in Santa Barbara (California U.S) based in Italy Iʼm 32 years old, dj/producer since 2004.
I have been working around the music for the last years, with my main acts “Francesco Ferraro” producing minimal deep/tech and “Vanity Crime” a powerful techno trend that brought me to play all around the world (WMC Miami, Techno Tuesday Amsterdam, Australia and so on…)
I also run another glam nu disco project known as “Mindbuster”, 1/3 founder of the old school house team “Houseswingers” and in second line supporter the of the Milanʼs multifaceted and funk-fueled music project “Body Heat” ;)
I started this new project as experiment back in 2017! I decided to make some old-school house and retro-disco edits just for fun, and perhaps I really enjoy doingʼ them and I couldnʼt stop anymore.
Like most of Italians we are also a big fan “the art of sampling” for my whole experience, I been studying how the biggest worldwide hits came from samples from 60ʼs, 70ʼs, 80ʼs. They are our biggest superstars. No one else! Much respect for the hard working and perseverance of those years.

The Story: Halloween 2014, Sara attended her friends birthdayparty, a costumeparty (of course). She came as her friend throwing the party, dressed up as she knew him when he was spinning around. A DJ. Never been behind the decks. After being shown some basics, playing tunes she never heard before for a few hours, she left that party with some whole new feels, saying aloud: I have to do this again.

Since then, mainly from late 2016 (with better access to some DJ equipment) going by the DJ alias Sbeen Around. She has been feeding her passionate house soul by spinnin' delicious tunes from various house-genres. Groove is the feel in every performance.
