G-Nice is a South African DJ/Producer from Cape Town that started spinning at a younger age back in 2007. He was introduced to the world of underground Deep house at a very young age which inspired him to begin with house music production in the year 2009. A lot of time that year was spent DJ-ing as that's where his passions lied. The biggest realisation came in 2015 when he was certain that he wanted to pursue music as his career. Music produced before 2019 was never released as his first opportunity came in that year where he dropped his first single OLD ME on bandcamp which was premiered by the Berlin house music. His second single was also an independent release which was premiered by House Maison till he released his debut EP with Closer To Truth, Blur Records, RewindLTD, Mole Music and now dropping with House Salad Music, we are so happy to have him on board.

Welcome to Episode Four of the Collector’s Guest Mix Series. On this one, we’ve been visited by none other than the UK’s DJ Powdersoul, aka Melly Melv Records on his popular Instagram Page -@melly_melv_records. 
An undeniable influence to our own page and a most welcome sight anytime he shares some butters from his shelves to the world.

Brought up on a diet of mid 90’s radio shows from Kiss FM DJ’s Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson and Bobbi & Steve providing the perfect education to jump start the insatiable thirst for the 1000’s and 1000’s of records in his collection. Music ethic has always been to keep an eye on the new but never forgetting the old and this is representative of his DJ sets; where you will hear upfront tracks alongside those rare 1993/94 dubs and house and garage belters.

DJ wise, one quarter of the London’s Soulfulbeats DJ collective who has provided the capital with some of the best soulful party moments, playing alongside the talents of Sean McCabe, Groove Assassin, Phil Asher and Craig Smith, but also guesting at many of the UK’s finer house music events alongside the likes of Louie Vega and Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson.
