Moment Cinetique welcome back one of their favourite producers - the incredibly talented Sweet Fruity Brunch - for a three track EP full of warped soulful, deep, disco house.
The EP had been held back to drop at the end of the summer 2020, when terrace parties were in full flow, outdoor parties were packed with people enjoying life in the sunshine and the tracks feel good vibes could blast out across Europe & Beyond. But then, you know.
All three tracks showcase SFB’s production and musical talent with the EP’s title track Disco Spider featuring soulful vocals, lush Disco Strings and infectiously energetic live keys. Completing the EP are sample heavy, warped house tracks Oncle Benibouille & Tonton Engelbert. Oncle Benibouille taking over where Jambon-Beurre left off and Tonton Engelbert twisting keys, brass and grooves through a mangle into another signature SFB track.

After IPSE became the victim of an arson attack, KOFFAIN and HALLO MONTAG came together with various other friends of the club to create a compilation of beautiful tracks to both support the rebuilding of the club and to make a statement for what there is to come. All artists have played at IPSE during many wonderful nights and days and will do so when the club reopens. Coming from the South of Italy but now Berlin-based, Gianfranco “Nanni” Barnaba is the genius house mind behind the Ruff Stuff alias since the shared decision to split with his former sidekick François Le Roy. Growing up during the game-changing 90s era, the dance music advent has definitely had a direct impact on his current style. Like all of us, he first went from one dancefloor to another as a clubbing enthusiast before shifting interests to DJing and production. His electronic journey surprisingly first began with IDM and ambient melodies, which is the total opposite of what he has been brilliantly producing over the past decade. His sound epitomises powerful deep house cuts based on rough samples, groovy basslines, and warm pads. Besides unwaveringly dropping stunning releases on well-renowned labels like Madhouse Records, Shall Not Fade or Haŵs, he co-founded his very own one in 2015, logically baptised Ruff Stuff Music LTD. If you travel around Berlin, expect his name to be featured on Watergate, Sisyphos or IPSE line-ups along with the likes of Demuja, Dan Shake or Chaos in the CBD.

The 100% vinyl mix he is serving today sits at the intersection of rawness and delicacy. It is absolutely a treat for the house connoisseurs as he ingeniously brings first-rate jams from Grant Nelson, St. David or 100 Hz. Guys, you are clearly not ready for this.
