Madhouse Records welcomes Fletch onto its roster this August with his ‘Kinda Want To Dance’ EP, comprised of three-originals from the UK artist.
Born in London, now residing on the South Coast of the UK, producer and DJ FLETCH stepped onto the scene in 2020, unveiling his material on imprints such as Kaluki Musik, Rawthentic, Whippin’ and Pakate. Here his story continues with his latest EP for
the revered Madhouse Records imprint.
Title-track ‘Kinda Want To Dance’ opens up the release on a bouncy tip with a bumpy bass hook, swinging drums, vacillating keys and soulful vocals. ‘Hard Times’ follows next, embracing a similarly playful aesthetic courtesy of an amalgamation of choppy synth hooks, crunchy bass stabs, shuffled percussion and vocal licks.
‘It Feels Real’ follows next, stripping things back to modulating, minimalistic drums, menacing bass swells and tripped out spoken word vocals. ‘Playboy’ then wraps things up as the fourth original, bringing things back into brighter realms with funk-infused
guitar and brass samples running atop heavily swung drums and rounded sub bass tones.

Hotly tipped UK duo Calum Percival and Jerome Withers join Hottrax with a sleek house release entitled ‘Kp It Tgthr’. 

Receiving early support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Detlef, Nathan Borato and Michael Bibi, the fast- rising pair started turning heads with their expertly crafted dancefloor edits of classics, such as their viral take on Madison Avenue’s ‘Don’t Call Me Baby’. Having sensed their potential Jamie Jones has now invited them to release on Hottrax, following a milestone year dropping music from East End Dubs, Cuartero, Monki, and Max Chapman. 

‘Kp It Tgthr’ opens with tight hi-hats, clean basslines, flirtatious brass stabs and pulsing chords until ‘Sip n Dip’ drives forward with rhythmic claps, distant vocals and swinging percussion. ‘Nerve’ closes with soft pads, bumping sub patterns and saturated voice clips providing a noir sound floor feel.

The TwoSlice journey started as local childhood friends when Jamie and Charlie would regularly spend days together listening and playing music, perfecting their sound and skills on guitar, bass and drums. Both had a diverse interest in music while growing up from hip-hop, disco and funk which features heavily in their grooving house sounds. Partnership is the driving factor in their production, ensuring these influences combined with the classic four to the floor club sound shine through.
