Steppin’ out with their first VA release since the label’s inception in 1995, Worldship Music follows up the release of underground sensation Roberta’s The Brooklyn Ave Sessions with Herald Traccs Vol. 1. The record is a (mostly) LA based affair, starting with Jam’s Theme, a clever flip of a classic from veteran producer and former Underground Resistance member Santiago Salazar. Next up is En Echo, a deep and dubby affair from Echo Park’s Kelvin K, a seminal figure in SF’s early 00’s house scene. Label owners Teflon Dons open the B side with a tough, deep garage cut that would have likely set the UK garage scene on fire. Unfinished since '98, the Dons thankfully revisited this lost classic for some finishing touches. Rounding out the release is the mysterious Westcoast Goddess, whose First Tear emotes a melancholy beauty reminiscent of Hanna’s early work. Heading strong into their 26th year, underground house music is here to stay with Worldship. Look out for volume 2, the hunger continues…

Following up on the success of House Of Riviera released in 2019, Mona Musique releases House Of Riviera Volume 2 curated by label head @NickV, a compilation that pays homage to forgotten gems of the classic Italian House scene, circa 1991-1994. 9 tracks from the artists and record labels that were central to this seminal era of House music, including two never released cuts from Ricky Montanari, Davide Ruberto and Ivan Iacobucci.

House Of Riviera Vol. 2 unites a selection of tracks that encapsulates the atmosphere, the energy and creativity that reigned during that era. Starting where the first compilation left us, with, once again, Alex Neri and Marco Baroni opening the opus, this time as Green Baize and the wonderfully deep and harmonious « Switch Back » released in 1992 on Oversky Records. Night Communication take things closer to peak time with « Let’s Face The Music » released in 1994 on Hearbeat. Ivan Iacobucci brings two tracks to the project with the disco tinged « Get Up », released as Mental Detector on his very own label Hole in 1993, and the previously unreleased « Melt The Sun » extracted from a DAT tape from 30 years ago. The very deep and sensual « Load In Total Darkness » by More Heavy Soul, released on Irma sublabel Calypso in 1992, with vocal samples and beats lifted from Disco classics, is clearly a nod to the New York underground house scene. The second record opens with the Ricky Montanari Ethos Mama remix of Sima « Give You Myself » on D :Vision released in 1992. Ricky contributes a second track to the compilation, the original version of London made in 1993. Originally commissioned by Freetown Records as a track to feature the vocals of Arnold Javis, the project was unretained and almost scrapped, until Ricky decided to preserve a rough version on DAT tape before leaving the studio in the early hours of the morning. Workin’ Happily bring some late night dub energy with the percussive vocal snippets and grooving synth stabs of « Make My Move » released on UDP in 1993. The compilation closes as it opened with Alex Neri and Marco Baroni as Sound Set for « So In Love With You » a classic deep piano house track that samples the vocals of Colonel Abrams out on Oversky Records in 1992.

French producer, musician and DJ, Thomas Arroyo aka Laroye has over the last couple of years been dropping musical releases in all the rights places, Atjazz Record Company, Vision Recordings, Ocha Records and Freerange Records to drop a few names! Mathew Ferness hails from a small town in Quebec province the french side of Canada.
He started listening to music at a young age, 
always ahead on the latest music and always a outcast to the other people of is town.
Inspired buy 90s electronic music he started producing around 2010 some kind of Inteligent House Music .
He released on labels such as BeatXChangers, Fina Records, Closer to Truth,GLBDOM,Blur,Moiss,Lisztomania just to name a few.
He also did a lot of podcast mixes like ,Dobro music, Hustler Trax, Honneybutter,Housesaladmusic and the selected timbres of Luke Bestrom.
Mathew recently started a new Premiere page with a live radio on youtube for Underground House only called HouseMaisonRadio,
from wich he helps new talents get discovered.
