@Joint4nine has been a firm fixture on the pages of LV online over the last 12 months and for very good reason. Keeping his busy release schedule ticking over nicely he is back with a scorcher of an EP via Berlin House Music which lands this week. The Get Down Here EP features 3 tracks of sparkling house music from deep and groove heavy to classic acid tinged deep house to peak time juice. He's a producer who likes to tick all the boxes and he always does it with serious class.

Our premier today is the Nina Simone and James Brown sampling aptly named Simone Brown with it's broken beat, loopy keys and heavy throbbing bassline. Cody Currie is back with a new song on Toy Tonics. The London born, Berlin based keyboarder, producer, singer, DJ and man of great style is a lead artist of the German label by now. The 22-year-old has released a few EPs that made him one of the probably most talked about newcomers in the new soulful house scene. "The Tom Misch of jazzy house" they called him, and maybe that description could fit. He plays most instruments himself, never uses samples, and the atmospheres he creates are unique.

For his new song, he teamed up one more time with Eliza Rose. The London vocalist, DJ, producer and radio host already was featured on Cody Currie’s last single "Moves". After a couple of well received gigs they did together, jamming live on stage, they decided to do another song. And here it is: Eliza’s sweet voice correspends perfectly with Cody’s chords and warm rolling grooves. The Rhodes piano riff and that funky bassline stay in your head after just one time listening. The two London souls fit so well together. And both are just at the beginning of their carrier. Eliza Rose is going to release her solo debut EP in Spring 2022 and Cody has an album coming up in Winter 2022.

Carlo has been a steady force of deep house for the last 15 years with successful releases on over a dozen different labels. This latest foray on Lovedancing is one of his best. The entire EP is loosely influenced by The Neverending Story, apparent in the creative and enigmatic use of samples, inspired sounds, artwork and themes.

Every track is highly danceable, with the A-side title song taking front and center, utilizing an impressively complex layering of sounds and rhythm from the swung drums, to synth fills, to groaning siren sounds in the background.

The B-side finds the chunky and moody sounds of Gmork, and the disco-tinged Pyornkrachzark. A solid three tracker from start to finish that will find its home in many crates for an array of reasons

Soul Groove returns to Feedasoul Records with a cracking three-tracker. Jazz at Muniaka Club brings forward Soul Groove’s signature soulful sound that we’ve grown to love. Heavily rooted in Jazz, the EP title track highlights his downtempo rhythm alongside a groove-laden bassline, and heartfelt woodwinds, balanced by atmospheric pads and synths. Part 2 provides more bounce with his club rework of the track. Straight drums, movement-inducing percussion and building sax samples outline the artist’s symmetry between Jazz and House Music.
