The record kicks off with Those Quite Eyes of Yours, intertwining hollow-body guitar riffs around analog synth textures, moves into the late-nite piano stabs of There’s a Part of Me That’s Always True, then to the cheeky Tropicalia house groove of Now You Caught My Heart For The Evening, and concluding with the dreamy That Night At El Bukowski. It’s a melancholy and deep trip, perfect for listening or bumping in the club.

From the @outplay camp comes Fouk’s new sub label 24 Carrot.  It’s for all the ‘other’ tracks, the bits that don’t necessarily fit on a regular Outplay EP.

Whether it’s an edit, a loose pumping house track, or just straight up weird stuff, 24 Carrot is whatever takes their fancy really.

 24 Carrot #1 is a collection of tracks from Outplay’s very own @junktion and Fouk..

On the A-side Junktion comes at you with “The Search”.  It’s an uplifting piano vocal disco tune which will be sure to move those dancing feet move.

 

The flipside is Fouk’s turf.  “That’s Pretty Vague” amps it up as a groovy bass line house track broken with toughened up synths. The tongue in cheek vocals lighten the mood, while staying pretty vague.

Closing out the EP is “Paahdy”, which says it all.  It’s straight up house with nods to Chicago, which is perfect for a damn good paahdy.
