We all make art for ourselves sometimes. This project was originally not meant to be released, as it was something that was born in very heavy and sad times. After showing it to close friends though, every person that got to hear it was obsessed with it.

The ultimate proof to it being something special was, when it got played in front of a huge crowd only once and everyone started to be emotional and remembered that very exact moment in the night. 
A clip of it being played went viral and all the Djs were asking for it.
It is without a doubt one of the saddest songs in the world and the remix & video wants to go hand in hand with that.

After sharing multiple intense Remixes of RÜFÜS DU SOL, it was time to show another side of the YLAI project, that will unfold in multiple ways.

YLAI, a multi-platinum ghost producer with over a decade of experience, is finally sharing another of his exclusive "DJ goodies" with the world. Known for producing hits in almost every genre of EDM and beyond, he always tries to capture the feeling of a song, no matter what genre it is.

Datura Records continues to map the appealing coordinates of modern House Music with its latest offering, the "Fusion" EP by Russian producer Stogov. Hailing from Veliky Novgorod, Stogov brings a distinct perspective to the Buenos Aires-based label, presenting a collection of two original productions that are thoughtfully expanded by reinterpretations from Tade Kop, Wretla, and Chiri. This international collaboration underscores the global, connective language of the genre that Datura so effectively champions, setting the stage for a release that is both geographically diverse and musically cohesive.

The EP’s namesake, “Fusion,” delivers precisely on its promise with a confident and laid-back demeanour. The composition is built on a foundation of unwavering, polished groove, creating a compelling forward motion. Over this rhythmic bedrock, Stogov layers a warm, melodic phrase that evokes the gentle touch of an electric piano, while sharp, punctuating vocal samples provide rhythmic texture and human presence. It’s a masterful blend where the cool, improvisational spirit of Jazz is not merely added but fully integrated into the Deep House framework, resulting in a track that feels both intellectually rich and physically inviting, a sophisticated yet accessible centrepiece for the entire record.

When Stovetops approached me with this idea to do a drum & bass remix of Arctic Monkeys, I was stoked! Arctic Monkeys have been one of my favorite bands since I first got introduced to them. 

So, we took 505 and flipped it into a deep drum & bass tune. Filled it with synths and vibes and gave the song a new light.
