Everyone who’s been to a burn probably knows how emotional, mind-blowing, and deeply fulfilling that week can be. My Sunday sunrise set at Maxa was without a doubt one of the most special and emotional sets of my life – just like the entire week at Burning Man. What an intense and beautiful journey, culminating in that final sunrise I got to play on the deer.

Huge thanks to Maxa for having me and for creating one of the most stunning art cars out there! I loved every second of that set and felt truly honored to curate the soundtrack to that last sunrise out on the playa.

It’s moments like these that fuel my fire and remind me why I keep doing what I do. ❤️‍🔥

Still buzzing from celebrating my dear friend @mira_kater birthday—a cherished tradition I’ve been lucky to be part of over the years at KaterBlau . From Sunday night into Monday morning, I had the honor of playing at 47 Katzen Tanzen Auf’m Tisch at Heinz Hopper (3–6 AM), sandwiched between the legendary @jonathankaspar and my dear friends  @mila-stern and @skalared , who absolutely crushed their first-ever B2B set 🤯
The night/day was pure magic. I danced, laughed, and connected with friends from all over the world, soaked in incredible sets from beloved colleagues, and felt so reconnected with why I love what I do 🫂🩶 I also got to test out a couple of new ideas I’ve been working on, drop a track from an EP coming out in 2025, and play some remixes that’ll be out soon 😚🫶🏼Happy to share the recording of my set 😻

Sharing the decks with an artist you deeply admire and call a friend brings a wild mix of excitement, nerves, and the kind of energy that pushes you to your limits — and sometimes beyond.
The idea first came up after my birthday last year. We kept dreaming and talking about it… and it finally came together in a 3-hour journey I can only describe as a true musical love affair.
We didn’t plan anything, just flowed into it naturally and at some point, it turned into a full-on jam.
It was one of those moments that felt like pure magic.

3 QUESTIONS to AFFKT:

Q: You just released your album ‘Son of a Thousand Sounds“. Does this title describe your music right?

A: I guess it describes what I do as an artist. During the years I have been producing many different styles of music so this is reflected on a natural way on my music. I just want to do music with total freedom; that was the initial goal I had when I created this project and I think that’s how it always should be.

Q: You built up SINCOPAT to a world wide respected label. What´s your secret for this success?

A: The secrets of Sincopat’s success are first the love, work and respect we invest on every single release, and second trying to release timeless music - sometimes more dancefloor oriented I would say, and sometimes more to listen and enjoy also outside the club. I always like to think how the people in the future will feel Sincopat music, and I have the feeling we will still sound as fresh and special as today. 

Q: Are there any news you want to tell us – what´s coming up in 2017?

A: Next year comes as exciting as this past year, I have finished 4 new remixes coming out in December and early 2017 for Henry Saiz, Mason, Bufi and Martin Eyerer feat. Ruede Hagelstein. And I am working on new EPs and few more remixes at the moment. I am focussed as well on preparing a new live set, and it’s being a lot of fun but there’s still much work left. On Sincopat we have a lot of amazing music coming, EPs and Albums; just to name a few, by the end of February we have the first album by Piek and on March Vomvo 03 signed by Pete Oak, also EPs by Audio Junkies, Patrick Kunkel, Bufi, Darlyn Vlys, Anii, Alext Stein, and many more!

Der heutige Podcast kommt aus dem sonnigen Kalifornien. Tiago ist auch einer der Künstler den ich beim Flug durch die Orange Wolke durch Zufall entdeckt habe. „I am grateful for the opportunity to express myself. I speak on the behalf of the Machiguenga people, those of the past, present and future. We have always been respectful people. We have always respected our neighbors whether they were Machiguenga, Colonists, Cuacasians or Serranos. We have never attacked or abused, furthermore we have given up much of our lands. In return for our hospitality we have been abused, enslaved and persecuted by the majority of these visitors. This began with the first of them that came for the gaucho of the rubber tree. We escaped to our streams. After that came the mixed race settlers, serranos and whites who wanted to force us to work their lands. The catholic priests also wanted to change our culture pretending to be sent by Tasorinki (Creator God of the Machiguenga). They wanted us to think like Christians not like Machiguenga people. They have confused many countrymen who now believe in sinners and devils. Even worse were the gringo evangelists who gave us „the word of god“ and many conveniences to buy us off. They translated the history of Israel, the „Bible“, to our language. These stories are not ours, neither is their god ours. Yes there are some similar ideas, and through these they wanted to dominate us.

They say we are savages … and we have no forest left to be savages, to escape, for we have given up all to the settlers. And now they want us to give our souls as well, after that we will have nothing to give. And so the Machiguenga people will disappear, nobody will remember anymore about them. But Tasorinki, yes, remembers the Machiguenga. We are him."

Sich auf das Erlebnis Kaldera einzulassen, heißt Zeit und Raum zu vergessen und dabei die Seele fliegen zu lassen und zum lächeln zu bringen, irgendwo zwischen Fiktion und Realität.

Seine Set's zeichnen sich durch eine Balance zwischen dem Wechselspiel mit seinem Publikum und seiner besonderen Vorliebe für Housemusik und Vibrations der Berliner Technoszene aus. Inzwischen/Mittlerweile spielt er neben den angesagten Künstlern Sven Väth, Alle Farben, Dirty Doering, Claptone, Oliver oder Tapesh auf großen Festivals wie dem Nature One Festival oder in bedeutenden Clubs der Berliner Szene wie z.B. Tresor, Suicide Circus, dem Kosmonaut Club oder der Ritter Butzke.
