3 QUESTIONS to CATZ 'N DOGZ:

Q: Let's get into your mix, into the mood. Why did you select these tracks and what did they mean to you in your early days? And of course: What do they still mean to you today?

A: Pure memories! Voitek did his selection and I did it, so we mixed everything together. We grew up in the same city in similar time so our selection was crossing very often. Anyway I know we left so much good and important music that we forgot or simply it didn’t fit. So there is a lot of tracks missing here but we were just following the flow. All those tracks brings different memories and they are still very strong. Some of them inspired us, some of them brings the best party memories and others reminds us of a childhood time.

Q: Summer is here and we're all allowed to play some nice gigs. How did you follow up things recently?

A: It’s so good to be back on the road!! We missed it so much. All the parties are sold out and people are going crazy. We play a lot in Poland right now as it’s the safest and the easiest for the promotors. So definitely the local scenes around the world are doing good. We also play in Barcelona, US tour is coming in soon and next week we go to Croatia for the Defected Festival. We are really happy to be back.

Q: Which future projects are on the way?

A: We have a lot of singles and remixes to be out soon. We just released new EP on Eats Everything's Edible label, we have remixes on Pets and Toolroom. Also new EPs on Pets, Sweatitout and right now we are working on a new album.

I had a lot of fun putting this mix together! Over 3hrs 33min and 33 seconds I try to take the listener on a bit of an astral journey with me, traversing between deep driving house, some percussive afro style deep house, deep electronic funk and old skool Chicago house.

Here´s a recording of our b2b set with Esther Silex at the magical Sisyphos Beach. It was a short open air season for Berlin clubs. We squeezed it out at one of the last summer nights. The same day finally Berlin clubs were allowed to re-open their floors inside, after 18 months. It was a night to remember. Thanx for the wild love we got from everyone at Sisyphos.

Being given the honour of playing the penultimate set and the last sunrise of the Burning Man on Monday morning after temple burn was one of the most magical gigs of my 26 years behind the decks…. after a truly astounding week, where by this point complete manifestation of all things desired appeared within 10 minutes of thinking about them - ending 2014's Burn in this way and sharing all the love I have to give musically with tracks from 1988 all the way into the unreleased files of the future - this gig was the stuff dreams are made of…. Until we meet again

This was our third time playing for the DISTRIKT camp at Burning Man, and as they say, third time is a charm. The fun thing about playing for DISTRIKT is that it challenges us to dig deep into our techno and look for the more bumpin and thumpin grooves as opposed to the whimsical trippy sounds that we enjoy sprinkling around The Playa. As always DISTRIKT supplied an amazing sound system, and the new set up with the shade structure definitely adds more vibe to the party and the dance floor. We had fun playing this set on a pleasant Friday afternoon this year, warming up the stage for the day and getting people into the mood. We hope you enjoy this 90 min ride of all original productions.

HOW I MET THE BASS is a concept series, founded and hosted by @marc-depulse. 

It's not about mixing the current charts - it's about your roots. A storyteller. Music from your childhood and youth that once had a big impact on your later doings, showing musicially how you got in touch with Electronic Music back in the days.

Marc tells about his project:

"Techno is a huge family. These are my experiences when I'm coming to different cities and places every weekend. Doesn't matter who you are and where you're coming from.
