You could put together a strong case for Vince McMahon being the best seller in the history of wrestling. He is utterly perfect at getting across just what's going on in his mind and what impact moves are having on him through facials and body language. He's not the best at bumping in the world, but he's masterful at the far more important part that comes before and after it.

I think a solid answer to the intergender issue - and hopefully you two don't say this three seconds after I unpause, is to kayfabe break wrestling into weight classes with no gender delineation. That way, say, Bayley would be fighting guys like - the first three cruiserweights I thought of are all scumbags, ahg - I dunno Neville who hopefully hasn't beaten or raped anyone, or spread MRA talking points, and would look like a much more even match, in theory. It would mean that she couldn't fight guys like John Cena usually, but... that would have the same problem. Weight and size mismatches are basically the easiest and most natural/obvious story to tell in wrestling - Jericho vs Kane etc - and it's hard to avoid telling that story when so many of the guys are towering muscle beasts. Kind of a built in bullshit handicap that cis men and women tend towards opposite sides of the size and weight spectrum.

Vince isn't gonna die in a bed. He's gonna die at his desk, probably while screaming at someone, possibly also while choking someone. Unless my pet theory is right, and he's a Lich.
