Messing around with the beautiful Pat Metheny guitar part on Midwestern Night's Dream. Just a quick recording on my mobile phone as I tried to remember the chords, with a bit of reverb and EQ added later.

This cover version of the Beatles track "If I Fell" was done as a request for a fellow musician and Beatles fan. I made plenty of mistakes in the process, but also learned a lot about the track! 

I made a few changes to some parts but it follows the original pretty closely.

This track features a marimba in an extreme reverberant space. It was inspired by recordings made in the world's most reverberant space: the abandoned Inchindown oil tanks. I thought it would be interesting to try and compose a simple instrumental piece to make use of that amazing reverb.

An experimental track inspired by childhood memories. Uses multiple recordings of the same melodic idea, overlayed without any strict timing, finding interest in the semi-random combinations of notes. Folk who grew up with certain UK children's TV from the 70s will recognise the melody.

Broken Kitty

Recording of a huge mass of pigeons outside the Pompidou Centre in Paris, January 2013. They were being fed and occasionally flew up from the ground in a huge group. The guy feeding them had a couple of rants at kids who were watching and chasing the pigeons. Love the sound of hundreds of pigeon wings en masse...
