This is an early draft of the "The Sun Sets On Your Dream" off of the EP "Somnia" by the Ongaku Concept Discord server's entry for the SVS II competition. I like the final version of this track a lot, but I also think this version has its own character, and for historical purposes I am making it public here. At this point, almost everything on the track had been done by me (I think with the exception of a few chord choices in the middle being suggested by NitroAnilin.) More refinements and contributions from others came later. Vocals were always planned for this track, but by this point they hadn't been recorded yet. The production at this point also was crunchy enough that at points it sounds like the mix is clipping. It's not. No, really.

Sample Dream [Demo]

A track I collaborated with Odin G. S. to create. In some ways it's inspired by French electronic producers such as SebastiAn, Justice, Daft Punk, and their ilk.

The album itself is focused on telling the tales of many original characters through music. 

Seizon "Scotty" Forshkade is a Scavenger who rummages through the ruins of an ancient city for old machine parts and electronics he finds interesting. One day, an explorer discovers Scotty and explains that he is looking for a powerful energy source that is rumored to be buried beneath the rubble. It is imperative to the explorer that he find it before his rival does. Unknown to this visitor, Scotty has already found it and has harnessed its power. Scotty however, purposefully withholds this information and agrees to help search for the explorer's treasure. Soon, Scotty's real motivation is made clear to the foreigner. At first, Scotty lays traps for the explorer and blames their existence on the rival. However, after the outsider meets with said rival, it becomes clear that Scotty is playing a deadly game with both of them. Scotty doesn't like visitors, and neither does he much care to share his ancient energy source.

So, I created this for a gag that requires lofi hiphopish music. I started out when that intent and ended up with this in one day.
It's kinda lazy in some aspects, since the idea was to make it quickly, but somehow I think I like it enough to release it. So hereyago.

The version in that video is pitched downward and the drums are reworked somewhat for the sake of the mix, so I decided to upload the original version here. I think it's somewhat low-effort for my tastes but hopefully you enjoy it!
