With an electro-mystical pulse from the fringes of psychedelic world-fusion, Medisound instills the vibrant landscapes of visionary bass music with raw and emotional tones of conscious hip-hop in their debut album, ‘So Blessed.’  Built around a high-tech electronic framework from producer Tyler Gibson (Birds of Paradise, Gibson) and colored with the heart-drawn musings and instrumentals of Aum Prakash, this collaborative project explores the symbiotic spaces between worlds through its balance of futuristic bass elements, old-world instrumentation, and uplifting lyrical play. Music for the How Weird Street Faire by World Peace Through Technology.

Songs are more powerful than bombs.

The How Weird Street Faire uses electronic music to bring many different kinds of people together and create a common bond. We have found that dancing knows no boundaries or political affiliation, and music, more than any other form of communication, is able to transcend differences between people. It is through music and art that peace is always possible.

The 21st annual How Weird Street Faire will be May 2020 in downtown San Francisco, Earth. The faire will fill the heart of SoMa with tens of thousands of people in colorful costumes dancing in the streets. There will be 10 stages of world-class electronic music, as well as art, performances, peace activities, vendors from around the world with unique goods, food and drinks, live painting, non-profit organizations to educate and inspire, and all the weirdness that San Francisco is famous for. The theme of the 2010 How Weird Street Faire was "Bollyweird: The Cosmic Dance". A special peace remix of the Bollywood song “Jai Ho” was created by local artists who have played at the faire. “Jai Ho” was chosen because it is one of the most popular and recognizable Bollywood songs in the world. The original song has appealed to people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, as well as it’s prominent role at the end of “Slumdog Millionaire.” Bollywood has become the largest film genre in the world, representing the globalization of communication technologies. The JAI HO SHANTI REMIX was played at the conclusion of the 2010 How Weird Street Faire on all ten stages simultaneously. Om shanti om.

In 2003, we released the How Weird Street Faire CD Vol. 1 with songs by artists who had played at the faire. There are ten timeless tracks by very talented musicians. The idea was to showcase songs that inspire peace. The album, like the faire, transcends boundaries by combining different genres. The album features songs from Irina Mikhailova, Adam Ohana & Eve, Shakatura, Quasar, Penta, Ocelot, Biodegradable, Kode IV, Waterjuice, and Bassnectar.
