JAZZism – Nordic Soul Syndicate

JAZZism är som en nattlig resa genom en dimhöljd storstad, där neonljus reflekteras i regnvåta gator och jazzens själ letar sig fram mellan höghusens skuggor. Omslaget med den intrasslade saxofonen fångar känslan perfekt: improvisation möter urban melankoli, analog värme möter digital kyla.

Musiken på plattan bjuder på en modern tolkning av jazz – lika mycket driven av groove och experimentlusta som av själfulla melodier. Här finns spår som andas klassisk cool jazz, men också inslag av funk, soul och elektroniska texturer.

Samtidigt hörs de första tidiga influenserna av jazzmetal, där hårdare riff, udda taktarter och tunga rytmsektioner smyger sig in och bryter mot det traditionellt eleganta. Det är en skiva som vågar blanda, krocka och experimentera, där improvisation möter rå energi och där varje låt blir ett nytt kapitel i ett större musikaliskt universum.
