We have done it, the well known Berlin club Ritter Butzke is starting its own record label!
First up is longtime resident Mario Aureo and his swiss brother in arms Manuel Moreno, who has found a home as resident of Zurich's legendary Hive Club.
The title track “Autumn Bell” is a sub and lead bass driven Houser, whose emotive pads and hypnotic vocals will stay in your head long after you have left the club.
The dub version of “Autumn Bell” is an altogether more reduced and focussed affair, that relies on the groove but without losing the energy of the original.
The flip side, “Arosis” is a deeper track with string variations and filter progressions but nevertheless a more restrained feel, which makes this track playable at any time, day or night.
Bachstelzen old hand and URSL co-founder Sebo is on remix duty, he’s picking up the theme in a more minimal manner and crafts a sound world of his own, through additional vocals and varied arrangement. 
Now that the foundations are laid, watch out for further releases from artists out of the Ritter Butzke sphere.

Es ist geschafft - Der wohlbekannte Berliner Club Ritter Butzke startet sein hauseigenes Plattenlabel!
Den Anfang machen der langjährige Resident Mario Aureo und sein Schweizer Kollege Manuel Moreno, welcher im legendären Hive Club in Zürich sein zu Hause gefunden hat.
Der Titeltrack "Autumn Bell" ist ein durch prägnante Sub- und lange Lead-Bässe getragener House-Track, der vor Allem durch die eingängigen Vocals und seine atmosphärischen Pads, auch noch nach einer langen umtriebigen Clubnacht, im Gedächtnis bleibt.
Die Dub Version von "Autumn Bell" ist dahingehend etwas reduzierter und fokussiert sich auf den Groove, ohne dass dabei die Energie des Originals auf der Strecke bleibt.
Die B-Seite ist mit "Arosis" etwas deeper gehalten und besticht, trotz vieler String-Variationen und Filterverläufen, durch seine unaufgeregte Grundstimmung, die den Track fast zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit spielbar macht.
Dazu gesellt sich ein Remix von Bachstelzen-Urgestein und URSL-Mitbegründer Sebo, der das Thema etwas minimalistischer aufgreift und durch zusätzliche Vocals und ein sehr abwechslungsreiches Arrangement eine ganz eigene Sound-Welt, in der man sich wunderbar verlieren kann, erzeugt.
Der Grundstein ist somit gelegt und in den nächsten Monaten werden weitere spannende Veröffentlichungen von Künstlern aus dem Ritter Butzke Umfeld folgen.

Booka Shade are Berlin-based duo Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, and have emerged as one of the most pioneering electronic music acts of the past two decades. Booka Shade return with their new album ‘Eve’ released through Armada Music December 13th, preceded by first single ‘Love Inc’, released on December 9th.

For their fifth studio album Booka Shade wanted to tell a new story, a story which represented a new beginning for them after they had almost split up during the first half of the production. In order to create something exciting they needed to be somewhere exciting and in search of inspiration headed to the UK home of electronic music, Manchester, to record at the acclaimed Eve studios, a residential vintage recording studio. This is where they found themselves together again, where the music came to life and why the album is named after the studio.

“We recorded an electronic album in a traditional way and it made us feel like a band again, it was like going back to the beginning. ”

The 12 track album includes special guests Fritz Helder (Azari & III), Fritz Kalkbrenner, and Groove Armada’s Andy Cato on trombone. Artwork was conceived and designed by La Boca to provide a rich and vivid visual accompaniment to ‘Eve’.

Booka Shade singles have historically been both underground sensations and club hits (such as ‘Mandarine Girl’ and ‘Body Language’) and new single ‘Love Inc’ looks set to follow in those footsteps. ‘Love Inc’ is infused with pure club sound, paying a contemporary homage to Chicago’s former king of house, Lil Louis, whose 1992 hit ‘Club Lonely’ serves as the track’s sample. Friend and art director Thomas Hayo was brought on board to direct the song’s music video in the vein of their last collaboration on “Sweet Lies”. Details to be announced.

The word ”oldschool” always comes to mind when we hear these classic house records that just sits and sounds right. This is another super solid 2x2 tracker in the DUAL series with Larry Cadge just doing what he does best and Copyright showing off new sides to their enourmous talent. Both acts execute these ”to the point” house tracks to perfection and they can be played by anyone at anytime during their dj-set.... thats how timeless and classic they sound.

We've been a fan of Sabb for a long time. His own brand of hypnotic and deep-yet-oh-so-powerful house music is exactly the kind of thing that Glasgow Underground is all about. 

Most people will know him for his releases on Moon Harbour, Saved & Noir Music or his remixes for Sasha, Hot Since 82 or John Digweed but for us his standout work is the killer mix of Piemont's "High Top" he did for us earlier in the year. It was an instant success with DJs the world over (#2 most charted record on RA for Feb, 6 weeks in the Tech House 100). 

He follows that up with a superb collaboration with Hungarian producer Add2Basket. "Drive Is All I Got" is - quite simply - one of our favourite house records this year. The beat is nothing short of brilliant, propelling the track along like Paperclip People's "Throw". The vocal is unusual, slightly bluesy and reminiscent of the kind of thing St. Germain used to produce in the 90s. Altogether "Drive Is All I Got" is the kind of track that's so good I'll be able to play hundreds of times and still love it as much as the first.

Following his Hedonism debut ‘Why Don’t You Say’ and his releases on Coyu’s Barcelona based label Suara Music, mysterious DJ/Producer Simion returns to his own label with his brand-new offering ‘The Groove’ - out 11th December 2015. 

Complete with stellar remixes from Kevin Knapp and Florian Kruse, ‘The Groove’ is all about its hypnotic vibe, spiced up with an irresistible vocal line. DJ and vocalist Kevin Knapp is well known through his releases on labels like Hot Creations & DFTD. Florian Kruse settled in the German capital Berlin and is no stranger to the city's infamous underground clubs, e.g. Watergate, Ritter Butzke amongst others. As one half of renowned producer duo Kruse & Nuernberg upcoming productions are scheduled for release on Noir Music and Exploited Records.

Kicking off with Simion’s original mix, ‘The Groove’ is a pure tech house bomb, bursting with a funky tech bassline and a soothing vocal that builds to the edgy breakdown. Kevin Knapp’s remix is taking the track into darker territories, presenting his typical signature sound, whilst Florian Kruse is delivering an outstanding deep hypnotic treatment.

Marking a triumphant return to his label after “Lost (in Deep)” on Suara Music has been championed by Solomun in his last Boiler room set.
