Dadurch, dass ich selber sehr aktiv bin im Nachtleben, weiss ich meist sehr genau, was in der Stadt wo läuft. Die Lineups von HS12 konnten seit jeher mit Innovation und Qualität aufwarten. Zwei Punkte, welche ich sehr respektiere. Bei näherer Betrachtung fiel mir auf, dass sich Leo’s und meine Wege auch schon früher in einem anderen Kanton  kreuzten und es nun hier in Zürich wieder tun. Ich freue mich deswegen nun sehr mit meinem Set ein Teil der HS12 Familie zu werden und bin gespannt, was die Zukunft mit dem rosa Affen noch bringen wird.

Because I am very active in nightlife myself, I usually know exactly what is going on where in the city. The lineups of HS12 have always been able to come up with innovation and quality. Two points that I very much respect. On closer inspection, I noticed that Leo’s and my paths crossed earlier in another canton and are now doing it again here in Zurich. I am therefore very happy to be part of the HS12 family with my set and I am excited to see what the future will bring with the pink monkey.

Eines Tages schlug mir dieser Freund vor, einen Podcast für sie zu machen, also lernte ich die HS12-Crew kennen und freue mich nun einen Podcast für diese zu machen.

I got to know about HS12 through a friend of them. He really liked my music and wrote me from time to time. He was a cool guy and introduced me to HS12. As I found out about them, they seemed to organize very nice Events in Zürich and make some good bookings. Die Story ist eigentlich ganz simpel. HS12 kannte ich zu Beginn nur über die sozialen Medien. Auf Insta und Facebook bekam ich mit, was sie so trieben und das vor allem aufgrund einer sehr guten Freundin von mir. Diese Freundin ist sehr involviert mit der ganzen HS12-Truppe und erzählte mir regelmässig, was so ablief. Schliesslich lernte ich auch einen nach dem anderen persönlich kennen und verbinde daher heute das Label HS12 vor allem mit den guten Leuten, die dahinter stecken und den tollen Parties, die sie zusammen organisieren.

The story is actually very simple. At first I only knew HS12 through social media. On Insta and Facebook I found out what they were up to, mainly because of a very good friend of mine. This friend is very involved with the whole HS12-gang and regularly told me what was going on. Eventually I got to know one after the other personally and that's why today I associate the HS12 label with the good people behind it and the great parties that they organize together.

Das erste Mal als ich Azad kennengelernt habe war im Sommer 2014. Ich und meine Jungs waren für ein Wochenende in Berlin und standen gerade an beim Klub  Suicide Circus. Er stand hinter mir und sprach mich an und wir kamen so ins Gespräch. Er war alleine dort vor dem Club, so bisl lost kam er mir zunächst vor. Im Verlauf vom Abend wurde er Teil unserer Gruppe und schliesslich verbrachte er das ganze Wochenende mit uns und zog auch zu uns in unsere gemietete Behausung für die paar Tage. Er zog weiter in das nächste Land und wir zurück in die Schweiz nach Weinfelden. Über die Jahre hielten wir immer wieder Kontakt und später lernte ich auch Leonardo, July und Claudio von der HS12-Crew kennen. Coole Leute und vor allem geile WG (Azad und Claudio). Ich finde toll was sie machen und vor allem WIE sie es machen! Es braucht junge ,gute Leute wie sie, die mit Ihren Veranstaltungen das Zürinachtleben aufmischen.

The first time I met Azad was in summer 2014. Me and my boys were in Berlin for a weekend and were standing in line at the Suicide Circus Club. He stood behind me and spoke to me and we got talking. He was alone there in front of the club, he seemed so lost to me at first. During the evening he became part of our group and eventually he spent the whole weekend with us and also moved in with us in our rented house for a few days. He moved on to the next country and we moved back to Weinfelden in Switzerland. We kept in touch over the years and later I also got to know Leonardo, July and Claudio from the HS12 crew. Cool people and above all, Azad & Claudio are flat shares. I think it's great what they do and especially HOW they do it! We need young, good people like them, who mix up Zurich's nightlife with their events.

Durch hören und sagen meiner Musik-Enthusiasten Hans Moeckli und Selin Lauro erfuhr ich, dass da so eine Truppe aus Zürich etwas nices vorantreibt. Ich zog mir deswegen einen Podcast von Azadi rein und der hat mich so gecatched, da musste ich ihn einfach fragen, ob er mal nach Schaffhausen kommen und ein Set im Flügelwest spielen wolle. Er sagte mir, dass ihm meine Musik-Projekte ebenfalls sehr gefalle und ich solle ihm doch einige zuschicken, damit er diese am 7.3.20 im Kornhaus spielen könne. Von dort an hatten wir regelmässig Kontakt und tauschen uns aus und mit der Zeit entstand eine Bindung mit diesen guten Leuten. Bei HS12 ist man immer mit gutem (wirklich gutem) Sound und viel Vibes aufgehoben! Man kann sich wohl fühlren und zwar so wohl, wie wenn man zuhause wäre. Es herrscht immer Friede und Liebe an ihren Fetzen und so was ist Gold wert! Besonders supporte ich die Truppe so gerne, weil ich bei jedem einzelnen merke wieviel Liebe sie mitbringen in die Passion und sie es einfach auch zu 100% wollen! Long live HS12 <3

By hearing and telling my music enthusiasts Hans Moeckli and Selin Lauro, I found out that a group from Zurich was doing something nice. That's why I listened to a podcast by Azadi and he caught me so much that I just had to ask him if he wanted to come to Schaffhausen and play a set at the Flügelwest. He told me that he also liked my music projects very much and that I should send him some so that he could play them on March 7th, 2020 at Kornhaus. From there we were in regular contact and exchanged ideas and over time I developed a bond with these good people. With HS12 you're always in good hands, good (really good) music and lots of vibes! You can feel comfortable and as comfortable as if you were at home. There is always peace and love at their parties and something like that is worth gold! I particularly like supporting the group because I notice how much love they bring to the passion in each individual and they just want it 100%! Long live HS12 <3

We had our first party with our label RUND thanks to HS12. The residents of the two labels didn't play much in Zurich at that time and Azad helped us to find a suitable location for our debut of the label. That's how RUND was born more than 7 years ago and the whole HS12 crew supported us a lot - we will never forget that! Since then we are always happy to be at their events as a guest or DJ. I don't really know where we know each other from. It's one of those nightlife stories where you've known each other for years but just can't remember where exactly it clicked.  I first came into contact with HS12 through social media. There was always this pink monkey, "Eggeaff", that caught my attention. From there on I found out what HS12 does in the city, organizes and creates over the time. Almost naturally, I got to know one after the other from this crew.

Leo habe ich schon vor vielen Jahren durch eine gemeinsame Freundin im Hive kennengelernt. Ausschlaggebend dafür war sein Tattoo von Yann Tiersens «Comptine d’un autre été» auf der Brust - eines der ersten Lieder, in das ich mich schon im zarten Alter von 10 Jahren so richtig verliebt hatte. Damals war HS12 aber noch nicht auf der Bildfläche. Über die Jahre habe ich dann nach und nach auch Azad und Claudio (damals noch als First Claz) und July kennen und lieben gelernt. Als Autor für UBWG habe ich auch schon des öfteren über HS12-Events geschrieben und war schon am einen oder anderen ;-). Ich habe den Vibe, die Energie und die Community rund um HS12 immer als ganz speziell, herzlich und vor allem authentisch empfunden und das hat sich immer auch ganz stark in der Musik gezeigt, die gespielt wurde. Für mich ist HS12 ein wahnsinnig inspirierendes Kollektiv voller Menschen, die lieben was sie tun und das auch mit ganzem Herzen nach aussen tragen. Etwas, das unsere Stadt ganz dringend braucht und sie zu dem macht, was sie ist.

I met Leo many years ago through a mutual friend at the Hive. The deciding factor was his tattoo of Yann Tiersen's "Comptine d'un autre été" on his chest - one of the first songs I really fell in love with at the tender age of 10. At that time, however, HS12 was not yet well known. Over the years I gradually got to know and appreciate Azad and Claudio (then still as First Claz) and July. As a writer for UBWG I've also written about HS12 events quite often and have been to one or the other ;-). I've always found the vibe, energy and community around HS12 to be very special, warm and above all authentic and this has always been very evident in the music that was played. For me, HS12 is an insanely inspiring collective full of people who love what they do and carry that outward with all their heart. Something that our city desperately needs and makes it what it is.

Den Rest des HS12-Teams habe ich in den letzten Jahren kennenlernen dürfen und liebe das ganze Team.

Many years ago, I met Claudio from HS12 and some of his friends in the queue at Zurich airport on our way to Bucharest. We were late and pushed our way through very mercilessly and quite dishonorably because we had an important destination to reach. The destination was Sunwaves Festival 2018, which of course excuses this action. After this action, we exchanged contact details and have remained good friends to this day. I've gotten to know the rest of the HS12 team over the last few years and I love the whole team.

July traff Eggenaff erstmals vor 5 Jahren an der Geburtstagsparty von Leonardo DPC. Damals konnte sie noch nicht richtig nachvollziehen, was es mit dem pinken Affen auf sich hat. Das änderte sich aber schnell, nachdem sie einige Stunden mit ihm und den anderen Gästen verbrachte. Darauf folgten viele verrückte Nächte, anstregende Montage und tolle neue Freundschaften. Heute kann sie sich kaum vorstellen wie das Leben ohne HS12 wäre – wohl um einiges kürzer, wenn die Theorie stimmt, dass Lachen das Leben verlängert!

July met Eggenaff 5 years ago at Leonardo DPC’s birthday party. At that time, she could not really relate what the pink monkey was all about. That changed fast after she spent a few hours with him and the other guests. Many crazy nights as well as demanding Mondays followed after that birthday bash and great new friendships were built. Today, she can hardly imagine what life would be like without HS12 - probably a lot shorter if we can rely on the theory that laughing prolongs life!

Wir breakten beide und Leo trainierte zu dieser Zeit Airflares. Ich war ihm aber mit meinen Flares einfach überlegen, aber so richtig haha. Zwar aus verschiedenen Städten und Crews, aber wir verstanden uns schon immer. Claudio fiel mir auf als BBoy-DJ an Battles. Er sah gefühlt wie 12 aus und spielte an verschiedenen 2 Face Battles als Jungspunt. Azad wiederum kenne ich auch von Battles über die Jahre. Jung, aber coolen Stiel, immer Freud an der Sache und immer freundlich.  Julia lernte ich schliesslich über euch, HS12 kennen und mich schnell mit ihr gut verstanden. Obwohl sie auch Solothurnerin ist, habe ich sie über euch, ein Zürcher Label kennengelernt  Und jetzt so über die Jahre habe ich die HS12-Crew ins Herz geschlossen. Die besten Events, die ich bei euch miterleben uns spielen durfte waren die beiden Outdoors. 2018 auf dem Hönggerberg war bis anhin mein Gig mit dem grössten Publikum und auch die Outdoor ein Jahr drauf war ein einmaliges Fest. Eventtechnisch seid ihr einfach meine Lieblinge. Es ist immer eine grosse Freude und Spass in der Luft.

How did I get to know HS12? Well, they are some pieces of memories: the first time I saw Leo was in the Point training room in Windisch. We both did breakdance and Leo was training airflares at that time. I was just superior to him with my flares, but really hard haha. At some point he got better in powermoves and I got a little bit jealous. There was a battle at the point and we talked to each other and he was just a great guy. From different cities and crews, but we have always understood each other. Claudio caught my eye as a BBoy DJ at Battles. He felt like 12 and played on different 2 face battles as a youngster. I also know Azad from Battles over the years. Young but cool style, always happy and always friendly. I finally got to know Julia through you, HS12 and quickly got on well with her. Although she is also a Solothurn native just as me, I got to know her through you, a Zurich label. And now, over the years, I have embraced the HS12 crew. The best events that I was able to experience and play with you were the two outdoors. 2018 on the Hönggerberg was my gig with the largest audience untill then and the outdoor one year later was a unique festival. In terms of events, you are simply my favorites. It is always great joy and fun in the air on your events.

Planet Caravan aka Nils visited our living room on June 28th, 2020 for our livestream called  "Slomo Sunday". He had some keyboards and devices that we only understood during the course of the stream. He presented us with a liveset, with which he could convince us completely of his art form of music. Ich habe die Jungs von HS12 tatsächlich in meinem Plattenladen Sihl Records kennen gelernt als interessierte, neue, junge Digger. Ihr hattet musikalisch einen ähnlichen Geschmack wie ich unter meinem Alias Andreas Ramos und so etwas verbindet halt ziemlich schnell. So gab es einige Vibe-Momente hier im Shop bis ich dann das erste Mal im Kornhaus für euch spielen durfte. Dann gabs noch weitere Gigs bei euch unter anderem auch die legendäre Outdoor-Party am Loorenchopf, der die gemeinsamen Vibes nochmals untermalt hat. Bei HS12 denke ich auch immer direkt an die Zahl 12, da es seit eh und je meine Glückszahl ist.

I actually got to know the guys from HS12 as interested, new, young diggers in my record store Sihl Records in Zürich. Musically they had a taste similar to my  DJ alias Andreas Ramos and something like that connects pretty quickly. So there were some vibe moments here in the shop until I was allowed to play for you guys for the first time at Kornhaus in Winterthur. Then there were other gigs with you, including the legendary outdoor party at Loorenchopf, which once again underlined the common vibes between us. When I think of HS12, I always think directly of the number 12, because it has always been my lucky number and still is.

Ja wir haben schon viel miteinander erlebt. Vor allem haben wir uns kennengelernt in der BBoy-Szene, der Hiphop Kultur. Erste Male haben wir uns an Battles gesehen, an denen wir gegeneinander getanzt haben. Zu Beginn war das auch etwas feindselig, Hipho Style halt. Erst später dann haben wir uns ein bisschen gefunden durch die Musik, weil wir alle die gleiche Musik fühlen und den gleichen Film am laufen haben. Mit der Zeit haben wir auch viele Parties erlebt. Die Jungs waren auch schon bei mir in Österreich am feiern, am durchdrehen, am DJen und Party machen. Und Ja, es wurden zu guten Homies au Zürich einfach freshe Jungs (und Mädel), immer sympathisch immer gut drauf, immer unterwegs. Geil man, HS12

Yes, we have already experienced a lot together. We mainly got to know each other in the BBoy scene, the hip-hop culture. We saw each other for the first time at battles where we danced against each other. In the beginning it was a bit hostile, just hipho style you know. Later we found each other a bit through the music, because we all feel the same music and have the same film on. Over time we have also experienced many parties. The boys were already partying, going crazy, DJing and partying with me in Austria. Aus der HS12-Crew kenne ich Leo schon am längsten. Noch in der Berufsschule, als ich in der Lehre war, lernte ich ihn in Aarau kennen. Das ist schon einige Jahre her und wir verloren uns zwischenzeitlich aus den Augen, bekamen aber jeweils das Leben des anderen über Social Media mit. Wir bewegten uns beide hin zur Szene der elektronischen Musik und ich lernte die anderen der HS12-Crew an ihrem Event im Klub Vieri kennen, als sie mich gebucht haben. Mir ist sofort aufgefallen, dass der Vibe da war und alle auf der gleichen Wellenlänge waren. Mir gefähllt auch sehr, dass sie so breit sind im Leben und auch Breakdance betreiben, was ich früher auch sehr gerne machte. Ich würde mich auch freuen mal an einen ihrer Battles zu gehen um das Mal zu sehen. Auf jeden Fall sehr tolle, offene Leute bei HS12.

English:

I've known Leo the longest from the HS12 crew. I got to know him in Aarau while I was still at vocational school when I was doing an apprenticeship. That was a few years ago and we lost sight of each other in the meantime, but we saw each other's life through social media. We both moved towards the electronic music scene and I got to know the other members of the HS12 crew at their event at Klub Vieri when they booked me. I immediately noticed that the vibe was there and everyone was on the same wavelength. I also like the fact that they are so broad in life and also do breakdancing, which I used to do and I loved it. I would also be happy to go to one of their battles to see that in real life. There are definitely very great, open-minded people at HS12.

Leo von HS12 lernte ich bereits vor über 15 Jahren im Aargau über meinen damaligen Freund kennen. Wir verloren uns aus den Augen bis wir uns viele Jahre später wieder in der Zürcher Musikszene begegnet sind. Auch in Biel  kreuzten sich unsere Wege wieder bei einem Booking: wir spielten an der gleichen Party und hatten unseren Spass zusammen.  Wenig später bekam ich mein erstes Booking bei HS12 in der Amboss Rampe und bespielte den Abend b2b mit She Nionika. Daraufhin folgte ein weiteres Booking im Klub Vieri. Mittlerweile kenne ich alle vier Crew-Mitglieder und man trifft sich immer wieder im Nachtleben.

I met Leo from HS12 over 15 years ago in Aargau through my boyfriend at that time. We lost sight of each other until we met again many years later in the Zurich music scene. In Biel, too, our paths crossed again at a booking: we played at the same party and had fun together. A little later I got my first booking at HS12 at the Amboss Rampe and played the evening b2b with She Nionika. This was followed by another booking at Klub Vieri.
