I made this for my final Electro Acoustic composition at the University of Manchester. Here are the programme notes:

This composition seeks to deconstruct my obsession with rhythm via several different styles of experimental  electronic music. The human voice and body are the only sound sources used in this piece and I have utilised many varied techniques to create a plethora of transformations and textures, including use of a Tascam 414 mkII cassette machine, heard more notably in the production of the introduction. My main aim with this piece was to incorporate my tastes in electronic music into Electro Acoustic music. Particular influences have been Manchester based Techno producer LOFT, Japanese avant-garde vocalist Phew, Kraftwerk, and the fast-paced, electronic music style of Chicago Footwork. I made this jam on the Elektron Digitakt which I send back to the retailer lately. The Digitakt is a great sampler, but I realised I needed something bigger - the Octatrack was the only alternative, cant wait to finally get my hands on this monster! Imagine how much I am looking forward to the day he arrives since I already advertise the Octatrack in my artwork, without even using it before :)

For our next podcast we invited 1NDV. The producer hailing from Nara, Japan presents a selection of his newest, mostly unreleased trax and some of friends' in the japanese electronic music scene. His crisp and crystal-clear sound takes inspiration from classic Chicago-House and Juke and combines it with a playful approach to sampling, incorporating sounds from videogames, bird chirping noises and lots of banging percussions. We're super excited about the international flavour added to our mix series and thank 1NDV for his wonderful contribution!

A view of a backwards future, with its lifeless soil and barely recognisable structures. Foreboding and uncanny, 'Before It Happened' is a project composed of mysterious noise, cacophonous drones and rumbling breaks. Synthetic ambiences are cut through by the metallic timbres of the post-industrial. In the end, the life is kicked back into you with an eruptive remix from GAV, reminiscent of the head explosion in Cronenberg's Scanners.
