It's all in the family; Texas-born rapper, HTown Phats grew up in the Clinton Park area of Houston, where he watched – and listened – to his three older brothers making music. Naturally, he was immersed in the regional sounds that ﬂooded the streets, such as Eight Ball & MJG,  Ludacris, T.I., UGK, and Scarface. However, he was also allured by east coast artists like Jadakiss, Wu-Tang Clan, and Biggie. H-Town was one of the founding members of the active, Houston- based [seven-man] rap group, Outta Line Click. The group dropped numerous projects collectively, including the mixtapes When The Smoke Clears and H-Town Reppin. HTown Phats, as a solo artist, is currently in the studio working on his solo album named after his neighbourhood, Clinton Park. He's been featured on numerous mixtapes and albums – and is more than ready to spread his wings and make his name known from the north to the south. H-Town Phats' drive is to make music that stands the test of time while continuing to rep his city to the fullest – eventually becoming one of the top artists in the 
game. "I wanna leave a stain on a person's brain after hearing my music," he says, "I strive to be unforgettable." As is well in line with the entrepreneurial spirit of the South, H-Town loves – and is exercising – the freedoms of the independent scene; however, under the right circumstances, he'd deﬁnitely consider signing major. The right circumstances would likely need to involve a combination of ﬁnancial beneﬁt while allowing him to bring his team into the fold.  H-Town Phats has been putting in work for years, and with his upcoming solo endeavor, is looking to put more juice into his brand. He's a rising star to keep your eyes and ears on for 2016.
