The fabulously named outfit FSQ (Funk Style Quality) just released their excellent debut EP <a href="http://crewlove.us/fsq-zulu-congo-call/">"Zulu Congo Call"</a> on the mighty Soul Clap Records. The EP comes equipped with a veritable armada of discofunk. Today we here at Discobelle can offer up this exclusive, not featured on the EP remix from super talented producer <a href="https://soundcloud.com/vanillaace">Vanilla Ace</a>. You might have a heard a very early version of this remix on <a href="http://www.discobelle.net/2013/08/06/discobelle-mix-008-vanilla-ace/">his Discobelle mix back in August</a>.

The London based producer gets down and dirty with this sinister sounding 7 minute remix that combines the bass, guitars, horns, and synths of the original version into a funked up frenzy that will have any crowd shake like crazy.

"What You Do", is a fantastic piece of dance music, fusing Finnebassen's famous funk and organic beats with a super-catchy, upbeat vocal that will have you singing while you dance… long after the track has finished. The awesome breakdown throws in more elements that make the track complete and cement the feeling.  The B Side, "A Little Somethin Somethin" is the perfect compliment to the former, a soundtrack of deep thoughts and memories, filled with hazy pads, a silky percussion and a smooth baseline.

The remixes on the do incredible justice to the original mix of  "What You Do" and are greatly diverse in what they set out to achieve. I am a UK-based electronic music producer pushing the boundaries of rave, oldskool, and breakbeat culture. Drawing deep inspiration from the golden era of 90s underground dance music, my sound is a high-octane blend of fat kicks, raw breaks, heavy basslines, and nostalgic euphoria. 

I've carved a niche as a modern revivalist of classic UK rave energy. My music captures the essence of warehouse culture—gritty, emotional, and fiercely rhythmic—while using modern production techniques to deliver a fresh yet familiar sound. Whether it’s a rush of jungle drums or acid-tinged synths, I create tracks that resonate with both veteran ravers and a new generation of bass lovers.

I've got a deep knowledge of rave history, which brings that authenticity to every beat. With an ever-growing catalog and a strong presence in the digital underground, I aim to contribute towards the ever evolving landscape of break-driven electronic music.

I was heavily influenced in my teens by '90s oldskool rave and have been a sucker for a good piano line ever since. That passion evolved into a love for techno, leading me to DJ at countless free parties and illegal raves across the South East of the UK, playing on some of the region’s most iconic underground sound systems.

After stepping away from DJing for a number of years, I returned to music with a fresh focus—producing my own tracks. Since then, my productions have gained international recognition, with support from the likes of Carl Cox, Ricardo Villalobos, Floating Points, and others across the global electronic scene.
