Ahead of Phonica's trip out to Kala festival this week, we reach out to one of their longest running residents to display his wares for the Phonica mix series. Music From Memory affiliate, NTS host and all round deep digger John Gómez pays homage to Phonica with a dive into his more clubby collection of records. John gives us an hour of some of his favorite releases in the realms of house, disco, acid and breaks showing why he stands as one of the UK's most respected collectors. Solid Steel (27th February) In Hour 1 it's the turn of Palms Trax to grace the decks and the recent RBMA graduate drops a mix of quality House and Techno spanning the last 25 years, featuring recent cuts from Beatrice Dillon, Josh Milan and Mighty Thor, plus vintage selections from After Hours, Hard Drive and Stasis. He had this to say;
"Mixed in the Berlin Community Radio studio really late on a Sunday, it includes a few records that would feel at right home on my show and a few others I've been enjoying playing out recently. It's a good measure of what I'm into at the moment. Thanks to JM Moser, PLO Man and Tama Sumo for the (constant) inspiration." His new EP 'In Gold' is out on Dekmantel in March.

With residencies in London hotspots like Lion & Lamb and more Patrick Rowe aka Rolo is no stranger to the wheels of steel. With a mix just bashing spot on an hour Patrick takes us down a vortex of experimental industrial sounds and warped euphoric trance fused acid and techno.
