''Burning Bright'' ft. Kim Ann Foxman (Joyce Muniz Remix)

The second part of Great Stuff Recordings&#8217; momentous 200th release package has landed. It&#8217;s a beastly 6-tracker featuring some of the label&#8217;s foremost talents and biggest hitters from across the years.

Zoo Brazil &amp; Anzi begin proceedings, kicking the door down with their bouncy beats 1. Trademark frenzied builds supercharge this track&#8217;s undulating bassline, rhythmic vocal cuts and atonal synths, making for a real powerhouse of a peak time groove. Dutch master Rene Amesz brings his crunchy beats and swinging rhythms to Systematic, a weighty track filled with warped sounds and chunky drops, topped off with a highly addictive vocal hook. DoctR reworks Mason &amp; Pien Feith Solid Gold, a rolling little number driven by organ bass and shuffling beats and a generally infectious nature. Its relentless hooks and pumping beats will get under your skin in a big way.

Lissat &amp; Voltaxx have been amongst the label&#8217;s most prolific stars of recent years, and they deliver once again on Ain&#8217;t Got No Time. A blissful chime melody graces hard-stomping beats and pummeling bass, making for an exercise in simplicity and succinctness with plenty of character. Julio Navas&#8217; Destruido takes us on a ride through murky bass, dial tones and rousing political vocal samples, churning and whipping everything up into a heads-down, no-nonsense slice of dancefloor potency. Loko&#8217;s Breakout finishes off this hefty package in lively style, a funked-up analog bassline zipping away under subtle disco licks and energetic beats and addictive vocal cuts, coming on like a late-&#8216;90s filter house gem updated for 2013.

Unlike their recent Drumcode release 'Unanswered Question', ‘You Know’ is a deep house killer that will appeal to new and old fans alike. Using a number of melodies within both the bass line and melodic synth that sits at the back of the mix, these two elements harmonise together smoothly and create an ear catching juxtaposition that will get the dance floor rocking before the vocal roars over the track.

In the midst of the increasingly popular house music hurricane comes a fresh two track EP from one of the movement’s most promising talents, Richy Ahmed. Taking cues from hip-hop, techno, funk and disco, ‘The Drums’ EP arrives on the 2nd of December via Hot Creations.

Just stretching his limbs in terms of his discography, in less than two years the London-based producer has gathered some series attention. From 2011’s slinky, deep house mover 'Suck It' (Hot Creations) to his 80's chicago manipulation remix of Infinity Ink's 'Infinity', there’s always an enviable glisten about his work. His wizardry behind the decks lead to him being named resident DJ at DC10's Paradise this summer with the season coming to an end in late September.

'The Drums' got its maiden plays during Richy's Boiler Room Set and the takeovers of Paradise Ibiza. The EP steps out of the blocks with definite verve. Title track, 'The Drums', a hip-house barnstormer of a track it massages a buttery-smooth rolling bassline into a four-to-the-floor backdrop with contagious results. Legend, Kevin Knapp, jumps on vocal duty dropping in and out with praise to 'the drums'. On the flip side, '101 Jam' is a rolling analogue slice of deep house brilliance. Here, Richy pitches skittering hi-hats and hyperactive synth movements atop a robust bassline foundation. It proves homage to the brand of house celebrated right from the genre’s genesis.

Fast rising star and favourite in the Hot Creations camp, Patrick Topping is back with another outstanding release after his highly successful debut EP was released on Hot Trax earlier this year, followed soon after by the even more successful ‘Any Amounts’ EP on Hot Creations. Knowing exactly how to work a crowd and making a name for himself with his extremely infectious basslines he delivers another release filled with dancefloor bombs. Melodic keys, trippy FX, intricate percussions and high energy build ups that turn into powerful drops make these three essential DJ weapons that are certain to dominate the dancefloor at peak time.

Through the old­fashioned demos route, Northerner Patrick Topping caught the attention of the Hot Creations camp as they recognised his undeniable talent. 

Impressing us all with his debut EP ‘Walk On’, Patrick made it to no.5 in the Beatport Deep House chart, with his tracks being championed by Pete Tong on his legendary BBC radio 1 show. His next EP ‘Any Amounts’ was one of the biggest releases of the year for Hot Creations with all tracks making it in the top 10 in the tech house charts and staying there for weeks.

At 24 years old, Patrick first built a DJ career around playing at his own popular club night in Newcastle (Motion), where he booked and played alongside some of the biggest names in the business. This year he made his Ibiza debut, at no less than DC10 for Paradise in July and continues to make his name heard on the international stage with plenty of gigs lined up.

Things look set to be big for Patrick next year with a track signed to the Defected Miami CD coming early next year and remixes on the way for Circus Recordings and Resonance Records.
