Orlando Voorn is one of the first European musicians to establish a vital link with Detroit, and since the end of the 80s has proven himself as one of the most original and inventive producers of electronic music. It’s an understatement to say we’re honoured to have him on Burek’s 20th release.

The EP consists of 5 tracks and, perhaps unsurprisingly for a producer with more than 30 years worth of releases and more projects than you can remember, it touches on many colours of house music. From first to last second, this record moves from old funk samples to shades of early Detroit futurism in a brilliantly executed dance floor manner. Orlando’s “Soul Society EP” respectfully nods to genre’s roots while keeping focus firmly on the future.

Love Edit es un proyecto independiente, nacido para difundir el amor. Con una primera edición sin demasiada ambición, consiguió un feedback muy positivo, que fue la gasolina perfecta para animar a continuar este proyecto.

Pero, ¿quiénes están detrás de este proyecto? Baume, un DJ, productor y mánager de sello francés, decide lanzar esta idea, con el deseo de entregar pistas que ama, rediseñadas para la pista de baile en forma de edits incendiarios. Ha producido la edición y trabajo en toda la gestión y comunicación. Pero es con la valiosa ayuda de Noyo_Chromatic, el diseñador gráfico oficial, quien ofreció una fuerte identidad visual.

A lo largo de los años, el «love edit» sigue resonando en todo el mundo. Tiene un gran apoyo y comunidad, formado por oyentes y también DJs. Y para ellos, tienen muchas ganas de hacer evolucionar el proyecto, seguir compartiendo el amor que la gente necesita.

Para esta novena edición especial, han creado nuestro primer « All Star », e invitamos a tantos productores talentosos, de Francia, pero también de Londres y Bruselas. Love Edit esta muy orgullosos de ellos, por el edit que han producido y por las hermosas personas que son.

Norway's Mhost Likely continues its fantastic run of form with a new EP from feel-good Oslo artist Henrik Villard on its Mhost Like Green imprint. It features two sun-soaked, heart-melting house grooves and remixes from Fouk and Gordon Joe. Henrik Villard is a deep house phenomenon who has made a huge impact locally and is now turning heads around the world. In the studio he layers warm sounds, lo-fi samples and groovy bass with flowing melodies that swell the heart. He has done so on labels like Moskalus and Beatservice and recently remixed label co-owner Gordon Joe on Mhost Likely. His ability to blend classic deep house and golden-age house aesthetics is unrivaled as this distinctive new package shows.
Inspired by a mix of everything from ambient to electro and house, Gordon Joe only makes his debut on this label in February with his 'Luminous' single but follows it up with this standout Blue Forest Remix. It heads into downtempo territory with low-slung house rhythms paired with delicate bass patterns that make for a meditative groove.

After a long-string of refreshingly uplifting releases from the likes of Don Corco, Higher and Shocking Smile, Tensnake continues to broaden smiles across increasingly de-shackled dance-floors with another stellar single - this time courtesy of the omni-loved and ever present; Ben Gomori.Ben's always had a knack for nifty edits, grin-worthy sets and solid, effective production which has always remained underpinned by a relentless work ethic and an amicable character. His latest offering: 'Radical Acceptance' combines everything the industry loves about Ben across 2 separate mixes of one single. The Eurodance mix kicks things off with a chirpy, circling melody which sits atop sturdy drums, a propulsive bass line and trippy vocal cuts. The 'Piano Mix' then does exactly what it says on the tin and drives a rapturous set of piano stabs through a slightly more syncopated groove and an elevated tempo.
