His records on Running Back, Beats in Space & The Healing Company during the last 5 years were critically well received and put him on the musical map - a highly gifted producer who’s capable of going into many directions. His “Filterjob EP” takes us back to the golden era of Sample House. Driving beats combined with filtered Disco melodies never get out of style. If anyone it’s Shan who’s able to play with this type of sound and manages to deliver three superb dance floor bangers in Filterjob, On & On and Serious. To rounds things up, the EP finishes with a raw and dusty Deep House Banger called Ruff Draft Pt.2

London-based Quintessentials continues to chug along. After their 10 year anniversary and impressive 60th release, they've already gone on to release two more EPs with the third one on the way now. Stepping up to the plate this time is NY*AK. The Newcastle-based hardware guru already has an impressive resume of releases under his belt on labels such as Local Talk, Phonica's Karakul and Ninja Tune's Techinicolour imprints. The Vice EP on Quintessentials is another strong outing, featuring everything from sultry vocals on the A1 'After the Sun' to deep and raw Detroit grooves on the title track 'Vice'.

Diamond (his actual surname) is a 20 year-old Oxford-based producer and DJ. Alongside a 'jazz series' of mixes released on SoundCloud, Diamond’s live sets range from disco to house to techno. Diamond plays regularly at famous Oxford nights such as Simple, Musical Medicine, Groove, Rubix and more.

 He has had releases on labels such as House Cookin', Ltd W/Lbl, Crooks & Villains, Salin Records and upcoming release on  Flat White Records. The coming years look very promising for this young producer – you can expect much more to follow!

Denis Kazakov comes from the beautifully natural city of Sengil in Russia, living and promoting music in St. Petersburg (engaged in promotion and DJ activities). He is the founder of the  Sengiley Recordings, a label which puts emphasis is on quality music and marks its presence on the underground scene by combining music with art and photography. Aiming to overcome the musical boundries it fuses into one unique blend genres such as house music, broken beats and breaks.

Activities in 2019 include a number of events in St. Petersburg and Moscow with the following artists: Jeff The Fool (tour of Russia) Onur Ozman and Fricardo.

The upcoming vinyl will feature artists such as Marc Brauner, Manuold, Joint4Nine, ILO, Last Nubian, Donnie Moustaki,Bénou. Also a number of digital releases from 2XM, HATT.D, Joe Lewandowski, Henrik Villard and Sisto will be soon available on all digital platforms as well as the 10th issue collaborative compilation with 10 artists on board.

In the final curation of 2020 we raise a glass to Takis Shelter with a diverse collection of jams showcasing everything from blissed out jazz, funked up house, rich balearic trips and a little sprinkle of joy inducing disco. These come from a selection of our good friends across the planet who have kindly contributed their tracks to make this release happen, a big thanks to the time and effort that everybody has put into this.

100% of the proceeds from this compilation will go directly to Takis Shelter. As someone who has his roots in the music scene, Takis turned his attention from partying all night whilst running his own nightclub, to well, partying all night with more than 450 of dogs and cats that he saved from landfills and rubbish dumps in Crete. After giving up everything he owned to open his shelter, he nearly had to give up the refuge but donations made it possible for him to go on.

This compilation is a nod to all the incredible, selfless work that Takis has put into caring for these animals and will go towards ensuring they are looked after, fed and can eventually find their way to a new loving home. To find out more and donate directly go to takisshelter.org/
