The concept of AZZURRO was like a week-long vacation in Italy. It starts with jazzy, slower sessions and progresses to an italo-jazzy-house gem, Summer Voyage. Passionate vocals with smooth Rhodes solo and licks on this track. Following some clubby tunes Electromarea and Dolphin Dance as a nightlife hangout, and a remix by the label founder Francesco FIsotti with cool vocals follows. Finally, with the last tune, you can feel the bitter sweet emotions when you are on your way to the airport to leave this magical country, but you have some souvenirs on your skin that they call “Ambraskin” (tanned skin) and the visual memories of the crystal clear sea they often call Mare Azzurro.

@marcelvogel has long been an LV favourite and here he continues to delight with his burgeoning collaboration with vocalist LYMA. Following up on their brilliant Games Change EP and the recent release of Free Time, all via @Boogieangst, this week sees them deliver the No Time EP. Featuring previous single Free Time as lead track it's a scorching EP packed with a delicious low slung funk, analogue synths, urban soul and a general thumbing of the nose to convention.

Featuring five distinct tracks which are both in equal measures playful and elegant it's an EP which further strengthens the duo's street chops delivering a gospel of heartfelt soul.

Our premier today from the EP is Flame on with it's loopy swing heavy percussion and a wonderfully warm bassline which plays the perfect foil to LYMA's  sizzling vocals.

Tom Noble, digger extraordinaire, owner of Superior Elevation Records, and general Brooklyn/LA legend, dons his House Of Sprits moniker for the first single from a forthcoming LP on Razor-N-Tape.

“Times Are Changing” sets the tone for this album project that collects the work of nearly 15 years, a gritty vision of modern-retro soul that throws a reverent nod to its Mizell Brothers and Patrick Adams influences as it brings the sound into the future. Recorded with all live instrumentation and mixed tough for the dance floor, this limited 12” boasts an extended original and instrumental on the A side, and a huge remix from Aussie synth wizard Harvey Sutherland on the flip that highlights the rich instrumentation and extremely catchy vocal hook. A surefire summer jam, this is timeless music that is only the tip of the iceberg from a future classic album.

Out 31st August, 'College Drive' has already been receiving support from the likes of Shanti Celeste and NTS' Charlie Bones, and comes backed with a remix by Der Opium Queen who's also released on the label.

We're very happy to be premiering the Day Mix, a shimmering sliver of breakbeat house that already has me pining for a half-remembered summer. It's got an outrageous piano solo and some cheeky saxophone. What more could you possibly want from life?

It’s a welcome change to see the dance music industry shift from a sausage fest to a decidedly more diverse scene of artists and DJs. As an A&R guy, it’s been a source of frustration that I haven’t signed more non-dude talent. In my defence, 95%+ of the demos I’ve gotten over the years have been from men or boys, but I’ve realized that perhaps following the example of an A&R hero like Matias Aguayo, I could do more to dig and encourage women to get more involved in the little community I build with my labels. With that in mind, I’ve got a few releases in the works with some incredible women and am happy to announce this EP today, on International Women’s Day, because not only does MISS REPRESENTED indeed check that gender box, she is a total original, a woman of experience and knowledge, she bucks all the trends and has a fearless, powerful voice. She’s not a kid with inflated instagram numbers and a manager, she’s someone who has lived her life in the dark corners of the music scene and has a story to tell. If there’s one thing dance music is guilty of, rightly or wrongly, it’s escapism, and a refusal to confront real issues and subjects. On those rare occasions where a dance track holds overt meaning it’s SO powerful and memorable, and while these aren’t conventional peak-time tracks, they’ve definitely got groove and they’ve got a message. I could go on and on, but without further ado, here’s a sneak preview of the B2 cut from the next release on my new label PARTY CENTRAL.

Salin Records warmly welcomes Diamond to the family, a very
talented, young producer based in Oxford (UK), who found a
place in our heart. When Diamond reached out to us with a raw
demo of "Target Blue" we couldn’t get the melody out of our
heads for days. The track instantly put a smile on our face and
with Alex Wilson's sax lines it spreads an enormous energy
which made us feel as if we were 20 again. Later Diamond
came up with "Pen Burns The Paper" and "You Like Jazz?"
which built an awesome fundament for an artist EP. There
couldn't be a better title than "You Like Jazz? EP" as it reflects
the personality of the producer - Diamond, who has a kind of
obsession with Jazz but at the same time is not too serious
about it. We also welcome our dear friend Tour-Maubourg to
the label. His breakient mix of "Target Blue" is a brilliant
example of where inspiration can lead you if you just let it go.
His talent for creating emotions is outstanding. Daria Salin
adapted the power of Diamonds music in her painting. We are
happy and proud to serve you Salin008 "Diamond - You Like
Jazz? EP", an EP that deserves a special place in your record
