"Music for staring off into the distance" - this instrumental record features 45 minutes of ethereal folky psychedelic grooves.

It's been 2 years since I accidentally started writing the first tune when trying out guitars in New York, not realising that it would morph into 12 tracks of music where I composed, recorded, produced and mixed everything myself.
Instruments you'll hear me playing: saxophones, guitars, bass, piano, hammond organ, synth, recorders, EWI, drums/percussion, ukulele and even a bit of vocals. I created all the drum sounds from scratch, incorporating sound design and recordings of crunching carrots, popping jar seals, shattering ice and more that I had too much fun making!

My environmental sound recordings make up a big part of the record and include penguins' mating calls, spruikers in Times Square, draining plugholes and lots of water sounds from adventures in the mountains of the USA, Canada, New Zealand and throughout Australia.

Instrumental soundscapes, field recordings, feature vocalists and collaborators - Melbourne saxophonist/multi-instrumentalist Hugo Lee works in many corners of the music industry. As well as producing records he is an in-demand session musician, having performed with the likes of Icehouse, Andrew Farriss (INXS), Holy Holy, Jack The Fox, Thando, Riley Pearce and many more.
From his studio he works as an online session saxophonist as well as songwriting and composing for film/video games.
