Waves exist and affect us in every sense, every motion, every angle. @ouhana shapes them to such great affect, that his first release  on Random Collective was destined to called Waves. All three tracks make exceptional use of this theme, with a power,  subtlety and drama  you can liken to an ever-changing seashore. The energy shifts so boldly, with such great flow and ease , a truly riveting acoustic experience.

OX took the title track in a totally different direction, with an intense punch and step straight out of a chase scene. Nathan Hall went full aural assault as usual building on the original parts for a deep and trippy reimagined version of Rising Tides.

We kick things off this year with a remarkable debut by a local Producer & Dj, Luke Taylor. "Headrush" is nothing short of infallible, resulting from his high musical erudition from years of experience. Luke has developed a unique sonic experience, hitting all the right spots, Each song having a solid narrative, intricate arrangements and pure feelings. A natural push and pull on the heartstrings. 

Luke features three originals, with Headrush being our favourite, immediately catching our attention. It also features three remixes rounded off by international producer OX, who took a fresh and twisted approach to the original, an interpretation by Leeu, who headed in a more lucid dubby downtempo path & lastly, Vox Portent, who surprised us with a cheeky stripped back techno edit.

When we met Sebastian Dali four years ago, he was wearing a bathrobe and standing in front of around 300 people in a dark room in Amsterdam. Little did we know back then, that one day he would join forces with Josef Loibner on the Piano. Yuri Nepomnyashchiy on the Clarinet & Yannick Mäntele on the Trompet and make this beauty of a track for us. 

This Remix is done by his good friend from Lärz, @buntepanther. If you do enjoy it as much as we do and your travel distance allows it, then come to our record release party in Klunkerkranich on 19.07 or catch the boys this Sunday at Fusion Dubstation at 3pm. As always with us 50% of the profit from the sales of this track goes towards the Love Foundation, the other 50% are split equally between Hug Records and the Artists.

Es klingt nach der großen, weiten Welt, die sich hinter dem Horizont der vier Himmelsrichtungen erstreckt – und nach jener noch viel größeren Welt, die sich nur hinter geschlossenen Augenlidern eröffnet. Offenbar ist Pay Kusten in beiden recht gut herumgekommen, denn seine Tracks sind gleichermaßen erdig und außerirdisch. Seine rhythmische Beschleunigung ist so ruhig und kraftvoll wie ein unter glatter Oberfläche strömendes Gewässer, man merkt kaum wie schnell man davontreibt. Das gelingt Pay Kusten sowohl im mittleren als auch im unteren BPM Bereich. Eingängige Melodien schnörkeln sich in den Tiefen des Arrangements um halluzinogene Sample-Auswüchse. Mit KlangDruide und Timboletti sind zwei ähnlich reisefreudige Remix-Künstler an Bord die uns in zwei weitere Groove-Dimensionen lotsen.

It sounds like the great, wide world that expands beyond the horizons of the rising and the setting sun - and it sounds like the vast world that reveals itself only behind closed eyelids. Apparently Pay Kusten is well-travelled in both of these worlds, because his tracks are both earthy and otherworldly. His rhythmic momentum has the powerful calmness of a river flowing beyond a perfectly smooth surface, you don’t even notice how quickly it carries you away. Pay Kusten plays this trick in the medium and in the lower BPM range. Catchy melodies entangle with hallucinogenic samples in the depth of the arrangement. With KlangDruide and Timboletti there’s two like-minded adventurers on board of this journey, navigating us into two more groove dimensions.

What looks like lightning arcing through an ominous cloud is actually a dry landscape of rocky buttes in southern Utah and northeastern Arizona. River channels flow north from Arizona into the San Juan River. The light vertical feature at the top of the image is referred to as Comb Ridge, a jagged fold in the Earth's crust called a monocline.

We wrote him, he send us this beauty and we are happy to do his first label release. The track Nologic is for him about a journey to a world where everybody can do whatever they want. We all want a better world but too often we hear the sentence I would if I could.... @bisu-andyou could definitely make a beautiful remix of this track ;)
