The EP title 'corners' metaphorically symbolizes the diverse styles through which aal presents the variability of downtempo in four distinct tracks. These tracks draw inspiration from various elements of acoustic music, ranging from jazz in 'Yorck's Schlösschen' (a nod to the jazz club in Berlin) to orchestral hip-hop in 'Swinemünde.' The two remixes provide an additional layer of depth to the EP's main track, ‚sleepy owl,' offering darker or faster interpretations.

Algorhythmic is back, and has just released his latest track, "Mangwa". Although his previous releases have all been Techno, he has decided to expand his sound to also include House music. As a result thereof, we have this track.

While making this track, Algorhythmic was reminded of his recent trip to the Mangwa Valley Game Lodge. The scenery was incredible, and every sunrise and sunset was beautiful. This inspired him to name the track "Mangwa". There is just something special about the bush in South Africa, and Algorhythmic captures a small piece of that in this track. 

The song is an Afro House song, but also includes elements of Melodic House. The sound of this track is influenced by artists like Ben Böhmer in the Melodic House elements, and by the current trending sounds and artists in the Afro House scene. Algorhythmic loves both subgenres of House and believes there is a lot of overlap between the two in terms of sound. He therefore combines elements from both of them to create a unique listening experiencs.

Our first EP Is the SlowMotion Debut of Steffen Kirchhoff from Rostock, Germany. The title of „Yajé“ refers to Steffens own psychedelic experiences on a shamanic journey with Ayahuascsa. It is the fastest and darkest track of the EP and invites you to dance with your shadows, the hypnotic groove and heavy bassline. After having faced your inner demons „Gaia“ helps you grounding your experiences and lets you feel the unconditional love of our mutual mother earth.

INKAA fell in Love with electronic music back in the good old Bar 25. She started Djing back in 2015 and found her family with the legendary Techno Türken crew. We heard her Garbisz set first year and invited her to play at Beate Uwe in Mai. One thing let to another and now we are honoured to release her first EP.

To top it all off, Love Foundation resident @lazerlucyy contributed to this EP with her first Remix and she blew our mind with her creation. 

Now we will celebrate at Crack Bellmer, we are having the 14th of August 2019 so if you are in Berlin, come and join us ;)
