i believe that was why i chose this small moment
anway, it could have been on another cassette from those times as well
from the recorder's point of view (noone else was interested in recording, so it always came back to me) too unbalanced, just like number 25

"the laughing gnome":

maybe the only piece that had a title soon after its creation back then
obvious early david bowie reference in the title, but Ändä's finest guitar playing ever! really sounded like a "laughing gnome"
this is about one of the few moments of harmony between Ändä and me, very rarely seeded within over 20 years of acquaintance

you have it here in its complete, unedited form until the tape ran out of space

The sound was dependent on the rooms and the instruments lying around.

This compilation has been drawn together from material recorded in the 1990s (except for track 08 maybe: this one is a recreation of a longer version which had been sent to thrill jockey records containing sounds from stereolab's "low fi" e.p. . in case this does hurt any of the stereolab (family) affiliates, please contact and i will remove or "censor" this version.

Hugwörth has never been a project as such!

The Hugwörth Complete Tape Collection called "Truth" is still unpublished as well (Duration: 7 Hours 42 Minutes 11 Seconds). Any attempt to find a record label to release (e.g. captain trip records japan, thrill jockey (specially created c90-tape), too pure, if i recall correctly, and a c90-tape compilation sent to Lou Barlow long time ago) went down the drain/failed.

These tracks have been compiled in 2001/2002.
All recordings were basically untitled, The cover was a 2008 try to name and give a structure.
Some "songs"/tracks are "solo material".  Everything was recorded on chrome and normal position cassettes.

Recorded in Forsbach, Cologne-Ehrenfeld and Bergneustadt.

Further "projects": 
The Electronic Pulsations (VCS-3 Experiments done at the Feedback Studio, Cologne in 2001)

"Ändä" has done some electronically generated noise experiments throughout the years as well (He is beyond his "kompakt" phase now; well hopefully!).
Lutz Lubjuhn helped in transfer from mc to md to cd.
