Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

I couldn’t sleep all night; a fog-horn was groaning incessantly on the Sound, and I tossed half-sick between grotesque reality and savage frightening dreams. Toward dawn I heard a taxi go up his drive and immediately I jumped out of bed and began to dress—I felt that I had something to tell him, something to warn him about and morning would be too late. Crossing his lawn I saw that his front door was still open and he was leaning against a table in the hall, heavy with dejection or sleep. ‘Nothing happened,’ he said wanly. ‘I waited, and about four o’clock she came to the window and stood there for a minute and then turned out the light.’ His house had never seemed so enormous to me as it did that night when we hunted through the great rooms for cigarettes. We pushed aside curtains that were like pavilions and felt over innumerable feet of dark wall for electric light switches—once I tumbled with a sort of splash upon the keys of a ghostly piano. There was an inexplicable amount of dust everywhere and the rooms were musty as though they hadn’t been aired for many days. I found the humidor on an unfamiliar table with two stale dry cigarettes inside. Throwing open the French windows of the drawing-room we sat smoking out into the darkness. Duygu Civas is a Bosporus Queen. This is her first release for Shango Records. These two tracks can put a shining light in every dark dream. Seldjan Dervish, Stephane Salerno, Acanth and Ephlum are the intellectual light -keepers.

Eyal Ariel aka SHIKU is back on Camel Riders with 'Outdirt' EP, which includes 2 originals and 2 remixes. The 1st original by SHIKU is' Tekes Atik' which means 'Ancient Ceremony'. As the name suggests, this track blends spiritual and addictive rhythms with organic elements and obscure electronics, seasoned with elegant cosmic sounds. 2nd is the EP theme track 'Oudirt', which takes the listener to a deep psychedelic state, with its pleasurable acid strikes and delicious bass, accompanied by a charming and melancholic organic melody. Follow up next, The Portuguese duo Luis & Maria aka Ohxalá crafted an intelligent and powerful remix for 'Tekes Atik', which manages to preserve the original's obscure and deep sensations, yet with a different perspective with its edgy & spiral melodies.
Concluding the EP, we have the Dresden based producer - Kerstin Beck aka Barbarella, which assembled a delightful downtempo earthy & meditative remix for the EP theme track, with lots of acid splashes and deep round bass.

When the person (Latin: per-sonare - which means sounding through), is in tune with the cosmos, the cosmos resonates in the person. 
 
Through the law of the octave it is possible to convert our whole solar system into sound.
 
The tracks of this EP are tuned to the frequencies of the moon and the planet mercury. These are the 29th and 30th octaves or exponents of the orbits of the moon and the planet mercury respectively. 
 
A frequency or a tone to which you can tune a track is nothing more than an occurrence measured per seconds (hz) and an orbit of a planet or moon is an occurrence, measured from our point of view, per days. This means that frequencies and orbits can be linked, and this is done through the law of the octave.
 
Opticks is tuned to the mathematical translation of the color spectrum into sound.  The spectrum of visible light for humans is precisely in the space of one musical octave and the colours fall roughly in a Major tone scale. Hence the name as an ode to the lesser known panpsychist and mystical side of Newton who was very aware of this and wrote about it extensively. 
 
In a way you can see these tracks as acoustical exponents from our natural cosmic surroundings and our focus on them can bring us into harmony with the greater mathematical system that is present in the essence of things.
 
These tracks tune you to the cosmos. Use these powerful frequencies to let the cosmos sound through you. Because remember, you, you are the cosmos, experiencing itself from within.
