Odyssey: Let the journey begin is a new various artists EP that showcases the lush Odyssey sound with new music from Modd, Soul Of Void, Dibidabo, Urmet K feat. Shawni and Cagdas Dumlupinar.

Modd's Gambit opens up with serene synths layered over warm, rolling drums. It is an expansive and hypnotic cut for mind, body and soul. Soul Void are next up with Jamal which cuts loose with a peppering of percussion draped over the leggy deep house drums. Majestic chords add a sense of late night spiritualism, it's like the summer Arab ode to joy, dedicated to the inner beauty of a person.

Higher from Dibidabo takes your heads into the clouds with its airy pads and angelic vocals up high while the rugged beats roll below. Secrets Of Your Heart from Urmet K feat. Shawni is another thoughtful and deep house track. The organic percussion is soft and warm, the chords twinkle like stars in the night sky and sooth the soul.

Last of all, Cagdas Dumlupinar gets you in a trance with Lionisa with its soft shakers, sustained chords and cuddly house kicks. It's a good and deep twist on Ave Maria, making the blood freeze in the veins.

This is perfectly stylish and emotive house music from start to finish.

The Huli are believed to have laid down roots in Papua New Guinea as far back as 45,000 years ago. Most of the Huli people are from the town of Tari, and many still live according to the traditional ways. “The Huli men are famous for their unique custom of creating and wearing impressive wigs decorated with feathers. They also wear bright facial paint in red, yellow and white — colors originally chosen to strike fear into their enemy in times of conflict. Nowadays, they usually wear them to sing and dance.”. The so-called Wigmen make their wigs out of their own hair and weave them with feathers from the island’s 700 bird species. Each feather carries its own symbolic meaning (such as strength and courage). “The forest in which we live is essential to us. It provides for all our needs, it is sacred, and I would do anything in my power to protect it,” writes Mundiya Kepanga, a 53-year-old Huli Wigman, “I hope that by helping people to better understand my culture, they will also respect our environment.”                                                                                                                    This is the new Shango Records compilation entitled “A Wigmen Town Called Tari”. «Kolyskova» translated from Ukrainian as a lullaby. It is a genre that has an ancient tradition in this beautiful country. Each generation of mothers sings gentle kind songs to their children, lulling them to sleep. Warm memories of this remain in the heart for all life.

DJ and producer Serge Proshe has been working on the creation of an album for past two years. The creative idea was to combine lullabies with electronic music. 

Here is what author himself tells about his vision - «I was born in Kyiv, and from childhood I loved Ukrainian songs, for their melody, especially lullabies. At some point, the idea came to me to rethink this ancient genre, from the standpoint of modern music. Thus began work on the first compositions. I was lucky because the Chief Director of the National Television and Radio Company of Ukraine opened for me a whole archive of vocal recordings that were made throughout Ukraine over many decades. Some of them were about 70-80 years old. And they are all unique. So they formed the basis of my album. I really want these compositions to help and support people in this difficult time for Ukraine».

At the moment, Serge with a team of volunteers are collecting help for Ukrainian children through his music, performances, and work. He will give his part from the sale of the album to help those who need it so much now. Lullabies will help Children’s.
