Something Tonight

Recorded at Sun/Plantation Studios in Nashville Tennessee in or around 1984, I sang this to slowed down music tracks then recording engineers under the direction of producer Sidney Singleton sped it back up to speed and pitch to synch with the studio musicians' fine work. Good fun was had by all and a 45rpm record with it on both sides got some radio play in, like, Wisconsin and it appeared on Billboard's Holiday release listing that year. The recording was released as "The Elf Who's King of Country" by Scott and Susan." Important: No disrespect meant to Little People, only the highest regard--listen to this guy's attitude and you'll understand...Enjoy...

A few years ago an old friend from Alaska dropped in on me in Nashville, where we both grew up as best friends. He passed away a year later, but while he was here he gifted me mp3 files he'd rendered from a mono cassette recording his brother had made one night at a table at the Bread Factory, one night in 1975. Here's one of the 8 songs I'll release this summer on "Scott and Scott--Live at the Bread Factory '75" and it's my own song, released elsewhere and with other personnel, but here's a taste. Pardon the clinking silverware and chatting. Call it color.
