On the 13th June 2022, British Parliament debated on whether or not Trans people should be included in the ban of conversion therapy.

To support the petition: ‘Ensure Trans people are fully protected under any conversion therapy ban,” I recorded a song entitled ‘Get your Fkng Laws off my Body’ to coincide with the day of the debate.

Making laws that control an individuals right to make decisions about their body is a human rights violation period and during the Parliamentary debate it was heartening to see MPs from across the political spectrum speaking up in defence of Trans people and in support of banning conversion therapy for all LGBTQI people.

I recorded this first cut with speed so it would be out in time for the debate and that is this versions’ purpose. You can stream it on Bandcamp and Soundcloud here or via the PTR YT channel below.

The debate will not be reviewed until September/October and so to keep the message going there will be more collaborative versions to come with artists and friends.

I have also released the a cappella and the stems from this version so that my fans and dear followers can create their own versions and remixes.

Since recording ‘Get your fkng Laws off my Body’, the US Supreme Court ruled on June 23rd that there is no constitutional right to abortion in the United States overturning the landmark Roe v Wade case from nearly 50 years ago. This new ruling puts hundreds of thousands of peoples lives at risk and is a frightening example of the law determining a person's human rights.

And in light of the horrific decision in the USA to reverse Roe vs Wade the other 50% of the proceeds will go to MSI Reproductive choices (www.msichoices.org) a charity that spans 37 countries providing reproductive healthcare including contraception, safe abortion and post-abortion care
