Selected and constructed by Kele, the mix gives insight into the band's influences and musical favorites, and functions equally well as the soundtrack to a killer dance party. This 20 minute preview gives a window into the diversity of the mix, touching on everything from post-rock to grime to jacking house to vintage Afrobeat. <i>Bloc Party Tapes</i> will be available in full on October 14th on !K7 Records.

Considered the Godfather of dance music in his hometown of Rio De Janeiro, award winning producer and acclaimed remixer DJ Meme now joins the Big Love roster with 'I Can't Get You (Out Of My Mind)'. First up on the package is the disco mix which encapsulates the Nu Disco sound paired up with a soulful hook, featuring funk-fuelled riffs throughout. ‘All That She Wants’ Yolanda Be Cool (and now Human Life on the remix duties) reinterpret the Ace Of Base pop classic in cool, brooding, style with the help of former Azari & III vocalists SYF and Fritz Helder - their first piece of work since the Canadian outfit recently disbanded. Almost unrecognisable from the kitsch original, its  enchanting vocals are utterly irresistible. “We always wanted to do a cover of the original, which we love so much, but we knew we had to absolutely flip it” say the Yolanda boys. “We love the campness of [SYF & Fritz] and when we mentioned it to them, firstly in MIami at the WMC when Azari played after us, we knew straight away they would nail it.”. 

It’s a record for radios as much as it is for afterhours house parties, effortlessly finding that sweet spot between accessibility and darkness.

New Zealand disco-boogie outfit Flamingo Pier plant some Brooklyn roots with their fresh new ‘Beneath the Neon EP’ on Razor-N-Tape. Known for parties in East London and their massive hometown festival, as well as previous releases on Soundway, the Kiwi collective deliver a trio of new songs that solidify and expand their signature danceable blue-eyed indie-soul sound.  
Lead single ‘How 2 Feel’ shows a clubbier side of the band, with a pulsating house rhythm and layers of angular synth stabs, vibey horn lines, and vocal chants. ‘Beneath the Neon’ and ‘Remedy’ are more familiar Flamingo Pier territory, upbeat indie disco anthems that boast incendiary vocal hooks, funky guitar work, and crisp production by Luke Walker. Rounding out the EP there are two remixes from Chicago house legend Glenn Underground, and RNT co-head JKriv, whose mix features a guest appearance by Afro-boogie royalty Steve Monite.  Out on Sept 1st, and oozing with hazy sun, ‘Beneath the Neon’ is the perfect soundtrack to soak up the dog days of summer.
