Why U So returns to selected. with “Mood Song”, a heartfelt and upbeat collaboration with vocalist Lua Sola. Blending emotional songwriting with a smooth, danceable groove, the track is a warm, late-summer release that marks their first time working together on the label.  

The artist project of seasoned German producer Cornelius Kuron, Why U So has quickly carved out a distinct space with his emotive and polished sound, following previous selected. releases “Hold On Me” and “Your Touch”. On “Mood Song,” he’s joined by Lua Sola — the new alias of Malou — whose vocals have previously graced selected. tracks like “Inner Light” with PALASTIC and “Allein Allein” with INNERVERSE and Helsloot. 

Together, they deliver a track that’s full of feeling yet light on its feet.

A cover version of Tipper. The very first track (our) Dave and Steve collaborated on. Like many musicians back then, we were trying to wrap our heads around wtf is this guy doing? It was not an attempt to make something new, or even better out of it. Just backwards engineering the piece as a learning experience. Listening to it beat by beat, sometimes even second by second, trying to figure out all the animal voices in the background. The first lesson: Start gathering tons of found sounds and samples from all walks of life. And beyond.
