Nascido de um projeto de iniciação musical da escola pública Flaminio Fávero, na zona norte de São Paulo, os Embatucadores são um grupo de percussão na sucata e no corpo. Para esse lançamento, Renato convidou uma série de artistas que fizeram releituras incríveis das musicas originais. A partir de hoje, lançaremos 6 singles que culminarão na compilação completa em julho, disponibilizada como name your price em nosso bandcamp, e em todas as plataformas de streaming pela MCD Records. A maior parte dos recursos será destinada de volta ao projeto.

Our anniversary VA is different! In partnership with @mcdrecs and curated by @ku_rup, this year we're hosting a compilation of remixes of @embatucadores.

Born of a music initiation project at Flaminio Fávero public school, in São Paulo's northern region, Embatucadores is a scrap and body percussion group. For this release, Renato has invited amazing global artists to remix the original tracks. Starting today, we'll be releasing 6 singles that will culminate in the complete compilation in the end of July, available as name your price in our bandcamp, as well as all streaming platforms by MCD Records. Most part of profits will be redirected back to the project.

History is abundant with sculptures and writings reflecting people's respect and adoration for the sun. Every morning the sun will rise bringing vision, warmth and security saving man from the cold, blind and darkness of the night. Without it the cultures understood the harvest will not grow, and life on the planet will not survive. These are three interpretations of this god by three different cultures, Horus for Egyptian people, Amaterasu for Japanese people and Tonatiuh for Mexican people; each track composed with native musical elements from each global area.
