Emika joined Art Bei Ton a couple of years ago and has been delivering since then amazing music at our events. Her project Human Lesson has been attracting some of the most talented deep artists in the techno scene.

She recorded for us today a downtempo, relaxing and introspective mix filled with dark tones and intricate rhythms.

Emika Elena is a Berlin based DJ/producer and founder of HumanLessons.

Music has always been a huge part of her life, ever since she started playing piano in her family home at the age of 4, but it was the discovery of techno in her early teens that led her to become a DJ.
 
Her trademark sound is often described as "hypnotic darkness" which intersects expressions of ambient, experimental, and techno in her mixes.

She is breaking out of standards and creating a new feeling of deepness and true creativity. You can hear her authenticity carrying you to the spheres of your inner soul.

Art Bei Ton Podcast 101: Emika Elena

Although Marco Roehrich focused his studies on the cinematographic field, his gaze and his feet always pointed towards electronic music. Thus, when he had the opportunity to develop the LAUT project, he poured his soul into it and, not surprisingly, he ended up creating what most electronic music geeks consider the best club in Barcelona nowadays.

Eclectic, without clinging to any specific genre, lover of different rhythm and always defined by a critera that tries to surprise without sacrificing quality, Roehrich is a reliable and daring selector.

This dj set is a recording of Roehrich’s debut at his beloved LAUT, on the 22nd of March ‘24, warming up the dancefloor before the b2b set of Vanity Dust and Headbirds.
