Meet b0n, a talented DJ and producer hailing from Pyatigorsk, whose music has been setting dance floors alight worldwide.

When b0n hits the studio, there are no limits to his creativity. He doesn’t stick to one genre, and it shows in his music, which has found homes in well-respected labels like Beeyou Records, Enchanted Rhythms, BROOX, Supervision and Dimsum Records. His tunes have even made their way onto radio stations like BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM, and Balami.

What sets b0n apart is his knack for making tracks that just make you want to move. He's not about labels or categories; he's all about creating beats that get people grooving. With each release, b0n brings something fresh to the table, making his mark in the ever-evolving world of electronic music.

@atomlui started curating tracks as a kid, turning them into mixtapes on burned CDs for family and friends. From then on, her dedication towards digging records never stopped. Her sound finds itself playing with electronic elements being focused on house music. Experiencing ease by the usage of sweet vocals, playful kicks and organic basslines completes the sound of a living and breathing set. Even though a track might catch the crowd off guard it will add up beautifully to an energetic club atmosphere.

Als vierte Ausgabe unseres Podcasts präsentieren wir euch Atomlui, sie ist Resident im Bunker Kiel und Teil des Kollektivs „Humble Encounters“. Dancefloor orientiert bedient Atomlui sich einer diversen Bandbreite an Genres, vor allem aber der House-Musik. Lebendige Rythmen und raumfüllende Tunes bilden die Essenz dessen. In unsere Podcastreihe zeigt sie jedoch einen technoideren Teil ihrer Collection.

INTERVIEW
Du bist Resident im Bunker Kiel, was macht das Auflegen dort für dich besonders?

Im Bunker Kiel ist die No-Photo-Policy etabliert, das finde ich für die Kieler Clubkultur besonders. Nach einer Clubnacht gibts es keine Videos und Fotos. Für mich als auflegende Person eröffnet es den Raum im Moment zu sein und sich der Musik offen zu widmen. Das Hinterzimmer, wo ich als Resident regelmäßig auflege, ist durch seine kleine Größe ein intimer Floor, auf dem sich kollektiv Menschen zum tanzen zusammenfinden. 

Wenn du mit einem Artist deiner Wahl b2b spielen könntest, wer wäre das und warum?

Zum einen wäre das Shanti Celeste, weil sie stark im Digging Game ist. Ihre b2b Trackselektion sind immer passend, außerdem bin ich interessiert an ihrer Platten Sammlung. Dann wäre da Skee Mask. Ich bewundere ihn als Produzent elektronischer gebrochener Klänge und liebe seine Alben. Als DJ beweist er seit Jahren eine super vielfältige Auswahl an Tracks und ein sehr individuelles Mixing.

Wie siehst du die aktuelle Techno/House-Szene und ihre Entwicklung in Kiel?

Bestimmte Subgenres von Techno und House treten verstärkter auf als andere, das kann manchmal einseitig wirken. Auf der anderen Seite gibt es tolle Veranstaltungsreihen und Kollektive in Kiel, denen es ein Anliegen ist Vielfalt innerhalb der elektronischen Musiklandschaft zu präsentieren. Unser Kollektiv Humble Encounters zum Beispiel bringt regelmäßig Podcasts raus, die auch Techhouse aus den 90ern, Ambient oder Breakbeat aufzeigen.

For the fourth edition of our podcast, we present Atomlui. She is a resident at Bunker Kiel and part of the collective "Humble Encounters." Dancefloor-oriented, Atomlui draws on a diverse range of genres, but primarily house music. Lively rhythms and space-filling tunes form the essence of her style. However, in our podcast series, she showcases a more techno-oriented part of her collection.

INTERVIEW
You are a resident at Bunker Kiel. What makes DJing there special for you?

At Bunker Kiel, the no-photo policy is established, which I find particularly important for the club culture in Kiel. After a night out at the club, there are no videos or photos. For me as a DJ, this creates a space to be in the moment and fully dedicate myself to the music. The backroom, where I regularly play as a resident, is an intimate floor due to its small size, where people come together collectively to dance.

If you could play a back-to-back set with an artist of your choice, who would it be and why?

One would be Shanti Celeste because she is very strong in the digging game. Her b2b track selections are always fitting, and I’m also interested in her record collection. Then there's Skee Mask. I admire him as a producer of electronic broken beats and love his albums. As a DJ, he has proven for years to have a super diverse selection of tracks and a very individual mixing style.

How do you see the current techno/house scene and its development in Kiel?

Certain subgenres of techno and house are emerging more strongly than others, which can sometimes seem one-sided. On the other hand, there are great event series and collectives in Kiel that are committed to presenting diversity within the electronic music landscape. Our collective Humble Encounters, for example, regularly releases podcasts that showcase tech house from the 90s, ambient, or breakbeat.

@mordi_mcfly , a Melbourne/Naarm based DJ has put together an amazing hour of proggy, groovy and chuggy selections. @mordi_mcfly is a staple name amongst the Melbourne/Naarm scene and continues to be a driving force at many different events and venues.

After recently becoming a tour agent for @wearenovel , @mordi_mcfly had the privilege of contributing to the curation of the @a3festival lineup, aswell as other events run by the @wearenovel group.

From a DJ side of things, @mordi_mcfly has graced many stages within the Melbourne scene such as @wearenovel smalltown @ PICA , @sonderfestival , @revolverupstairs , @musicroom_melbourne , @beyondthevalleyfest + many many more. These appearances have led to the support of some fantastic artists like @kylestarkey__ , @xcoastriviera , @the_real_dj_life , @fantastic.m_n & @ludwig.af .
