HUMBLEBRAG brings you the deeply melodic DELICAT, at once melancholy and joyous, an album that moves relentlessly forward while speaking the language of bygone days; which leaves the listener eyeing the past with desire while embracing the future as a friend and lover. 

DELICAT feels simultaneously polished and raw and defies genre stereotyping.  It harkens back to some of the best sophisticated indie rock of the 90s – think Cake, Ween, and Pavement – which an infusion of horns that summon the Mersey Beat era, and lyrics whose bitter yet hopeful humanism can only remind one of Ray Davies’ best.  Joe Pepe’s guitar is beautiful and complex; think Dean Ween meets Walter Becker.

HUMBLEBRAG emerged from the Astoria, NY music scene of the 2000s and reflects the fading hopes and lingering optimism of those years. DELICAT is one part remorse and one part release.  You will be hooked from the first listen even if you’re not sure whether to cry or crash the house party down the block.
