This is nice. How many layers of Buchla is that? Did you use any other synths or external effects?

I really like the long drones at the start and end.

The sequence is Maths channel one as the clock to Rene with the Rene's Qcv to the DPO's 1V/oct in with Final Out to Optomix Channel 1.  Rene's X gate is used to open the Optomix's VCA using the Channel 1 strike input.

Drone notes are the DPO's VCO A Saw out into Channel 2 signal in on optomix. The VCA is being opened by the Pressure Out of PP into Channel 2's Control Input.

The rhythm is a Phonogene recording of Make Noise module sounds triggered by the Wogglebug. Drone and rhythm channels are then run into Echophon. 

All the rest is manual performance.  For instance, turning strike up to mix the sequence in and out and controlling the Modulation Bus section of the DPO to change the timbre of the sequence as it runs. 
Manual control of freeze on Echophon as well. 
Outboard reverb was a Strymon

Dragon’s Eye Recordings is pleased to present 'Going Home 帰郷' by Ai Yamamoto. Yamamoto's first release for the label explores her journey back to her hometown of Shizumu, Kashiba city in Nara, Japan. Quiet spaces, forests, rice fields, seasonal insect sounds, family and friends shape the composition.

On 'Going Home 帰郷' Yamamoto combines her old samples and transforms them with new approaches toward ambient. The piece begins with soft textures and combinations of long, gauzy melodies. These surfaces shift to simple piano tones bolstered underneath by subtle noise, then move to abstract guitar textures.  The piece finishes with a field recording of crickets from Shizumi Nara, paired with a gentle refrain.

In Yamamoto’s words, “'Going Home 帰郷' brings you a pair of big wings to fly and takes you on a journey of Nostalgia where you feel warm and comfortable. Everyone looks back and thinks about their hometown where they grew up, and sentiment or emotions are all mixed––from bitter to sweet––but you still feel home with smiles. This is a music diary and a journey of ‘where you are from to where you are now.'"
