Neinzer took over our radio show this month, while we are at our private hundert island at an undisclosed location. No, it's not Rügen! Do you ever just want to call someone? Like for example your old buddies from the dubstep forum you called your friends in 2008, but you never met in real life?

You got into a big fight over the bro-stepification of the sound, and you lost not just your spirit but also your friends that went deeper into the doomed direction the genre was going. While you found assurance and peace in a post-dubstep world, that made the club-specific production finally listenable on your iPod classic headphones.

I know it's hard out here and dubstep has not been the same. Sometimes somewhere at a festival for a moment you may think it's back and everything can be as you remember it.
Yet, it's also ok that it's not. Maybe it's time to move forward and let things of the early 2000s be what they were.

Beatrice M. can’t bring you back your youth. They were probably even too young to use a computer back then. But for some reason this is what their new 2 Track Single “Call / Response” brings us back to. Reminiscing about the roots of an omnipresent genre while emerging with their own production style. Familiar sounds spin perfectly placed over a punchy kick drum. Simple, pure and genius. It’s a new direction for them, twisting their technoid and dub oriented influences, yet also an educated ode to the many productions that defined the sound of Beatrice.

“Call / Response” is a bass heavy love affair, calling on all the right highs and lows for the heads. Go buy it!

Rain and darkness have arrived yet again. You leave the house, and it's gray, and when you come back, it still is. It's hard to get undressed with the 10 layers of clothing you carry around. On top of that, you've forgotten to take your Vitamin D pills since last week. 

The fall season has hit us with its seasonal downturn, so we had the clever idea of inviting Californian-born artist Caasun to our show to brighten things up.

And she delivered! But instead of sunlight, she compiled a mix of dark, yet bittersweet tracks. Something to listen to when tucked in bed on a rainy Tuesday night, reminiscing about that last weekend's club night you're still recovering from.

Caasun reminds us that there’s a silver lining in every raincloud.

The Christmas season has officially begun and we've come up with something very special for the end of this year’s radio show. The mastermind behind parties like "Mega geiler Drache", "Batzen" and at least one memepage that you follow, was hired by us to cook up a mix.

People say he works at ChatGTP and answers you when you ask a question about german hip hop. We can't confirm it, but we can't disprove it either. Spriteeyez has put together a Hamburg-City-Moment consisting of Juke, Rap and Drum’n’Bass.

In the frosty embrace of Berlin's winter, French Berlin DJ and Refuge Worldwide radio host, ophélie, unfurls their debut release on hundert records. We are happy to present “Electric Blue Gecko” as the single from the record. 



Following their inaugural release on the leftfield club music label "Early Reflex," they carefully craft mesmerizing, yet meditative bass music tracks. Ophélie presents her own version of the sonic vision that they explore in their monthly radio show "Therapy Dog". Influences of drum and bass meet the minimalist razor-sharp yet spacious sounds.

   

The artwork was created by Sena Oh who developed the visual style in close collaboration with ophélie. The digital fauna is presented visually through the unmistakable artistic style of the Korean Berlin artist. Whether you're tuned in with headphones or absorbed through pulsating subs of the club, get ready for an experience that transcends the dance floor.

We are very pleased to announce the debut of Cologne-based Korean artist Joreng Boi on hundert records.

“Closed Circle” is a brilliant, electronica journey, originally created for a theater piece. Joreng Boi compiled these six pieces now for hundert where it discovers the minimalist ambient genre for itself, combining field recordings with extended melodic synthesizer explorations.

As the first single, we present "The Hat". The piece is a beautiful, floating but above all pure meditative ambient bliss that encapsulates the sound of Joreng Boi. It manages to combine catchy delightful melodies with slowy drifting Ambient Pads that feel never long-winded.


“Closed Circle” will come out on June 14th.

Fittingly, its sound was forged seemingly everywhere and nowhere at once: classic New York-leaning deep house vibes meet UK-inspired gunshot sounds and the frantic grooves of contemporary outernational club music, Balearic feels converge with the slick sound palette of our digital environments. »Private Messages« is as immersive as an ever-refreshing newsfeed, but just as emotional and real as the next person checking in on you via iMessage. DJ Ja and DJ Nein’s third effort can be as much enjoyed in the sweat-drenched physicality of a crammed club as it may serve as the perfect soundtrack for when you are home alone, connected with the entire world via a dimly-lit interface. These four tracks will touch your heart like a Spectre Attack would infiltrate the device you are using right now. And you know that it is unpatchable. All hardware problems are.

So what’s the deal now - are we all just going under? And if so, what will we find below? On his second EP for the label, Leibniz immerses himself deeply in the subject matter with three tracks that draw on the titular »Hydron« as an alternative source of energy, with three tracks offering more water displacement than a regular Typhoon-class submarine - it’s that cold, clear bottle of Fuji in a desert full of uninspired memes.

The hundert co-founder overtakes the discussion about electric cars and those damn scooters by cruising down the aquabahn with his hydrogen car at 132 to 134 knots per minute. There’s a coming changeover of power to be felt in the air here for sure, yet there is much more to be gained from the water - the fuel for your deep dive into the unknown once we’ve gone under. In the meanwhile however, you have two options: become conscious of the impact that we as a species have on this planet or find the one gadget that will serve as a fix for everything. Just remember to stay hydrated along the way.
