The group described how Moloko’s The Time Is Now inspired them, stating: “We had the words running through our minds for a few weeks, just thinking about where they took us. It sparked us into writing Above. All the best love songs have a shot of poison. Musically, we were back at Patrick Adams meets Basic Channel.” It’s a blissful five-minute offering, made up of rounded percussion and a warming underlying groove. Gentle kick-hat combos make up the overarching rhythm, whilst soothing vocals accentuate the track’s reflective nature. Dreamy chords soon meander into rolling key chimes to form an emotive, feel-good cut.

We return with RDR012, and we've invited the boy from Yorkshire, Dxnby, to put his mark on the Radar Records sound. Morning Espresso kicks us off with Dxnbys iconic twangy bassline and trance like synths. Jungle Cake comes next and once again blows you away with that grungy sub bass before breaking down into a lovely vocal which is plucked straight out the noughties. Onto the remixes and we had to bring back the sound of Two Coats to put his twist on the lead track. That brings us to 'Jungle Cake', and we had to involve label co-owner, Secular, to finally put his 90's infused twist on the record.

On the flip side, Do Not Sleep bring in label friend, Denney on the remix, who has previously release on high profile labels like Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels, Knee Deep in Sound and more. His supporters range from across the genre spectrum from Damian Lazarus to all the way through to most notable of commercial scene. For his remix, he's taken many of the essential sounds from the original and given it a reshuffle creating a superb uplifting yet hypnotic West Coast percussive house groove with Shyam P's vocal worked in perfectly on top delivering a sublime remix for this already excellent single.
