How does a punk rock band survive in the country of carnival, poverty and corruption?
Could their ideals and values resist the popular culture and common habits established through the years?
In this context, Hunger United arises as a new independent band from Sao Paulo - Brazil, sharing their point of view about the issues of everyday in a simple but true form. 
 
Matching elements of both Old and New Schools, the combination of youth and adrenaline results in an aggressive but also melodic sound, highly influenced by Californian 2nd wave hardcore-punk. The lyrics express opinions about daily matters and how individuals affect their environment.
 
The band has released their first 6-track EP, titled “Defusing the Common Sense” on March/2011, produced by Tiago Serrano (a.k.a Hospede) and recorded at Da Tribo studios.

With pride and anger, Hunger United delivers music straight from the core, giving new optics to some concepts that have been increasingly left behind.
