Ok so I may have been disingenuous joining the remix competition/group without the intention of remixing the track. What I did was cut out the vocals, bass and trombone to test my session recording skills against the best.
So Jay, if you ever get this, and you need Trombone, Bass or BV's just give me a shout, ok?

Vox are on a KAM KD20 condenser, trombone on a Samson Q7 dynamic and bass straight from the Dingwall into Reaper.

This reading of The Sound of the Sun by George Bradley was performed as part of a university project and developed into a dramatic soundscape.
There are several layers of sound augmenting the reading for dramatic effect using Foley techniques and digital processing on Adobe Audition.
