In the beginning of my DJ journey, my mentor challenged me to select two tracks that I believed would blend well. Upon successfully mixing them, we added two more, and with these four tracks, I was tasked with crafting a 30-minute set that had a clear beginning, middle, and end.

This mix holds significant personal value, as it marked a pivotal moment in my early development. Over the past two years, I've revisited and refined this set, addressing initial mistakes and enhancing the transitions to achieve a smoother flow. While I acknowledge that perfection is an ongoing pursuit, I am content with the progress made and consider this mix to be at a 90% completion.

I am proud of the evolution this mix represents and feel it is time to share it publicly, embracing the current level of my craft.

I have referred to this as the 30 Minute Test Set so that's what it remains.

From the time this song was originally released by John Hiatt it has been performed, recorded and re-imagined countless times.  The sentiment and flow of the song has always appealed to me both musically and emotionally and while playing through the songs I had on the queue for this record, we decided to take a slightly different direction than anyone previously had, while staying true to the form and the content of the song.  It was something of an experiment and I couldn't be happier with how it ultimately worked out.
