In less than a year since first starting out, Guy Gerber’s Rumors label has become one of the go-to outlets for considered, classy and cultured house music. After tastemaking and standard-raising releases from Guy & Dixon, Lake People and Chaim – as well as memorable parties everywhere from BPM to WMC - now the imprint offers up a fantastically strong and seductive four-track sampler entitled Chinese Whispers.

Opening up are production geniuses Konrad Black of Wagon Repair and Martin Buttirch of Desolat. Their ‘Siamese Connection’ is a kinetic, rubbery afterhours track filled with weird sounds, great sonic design and captivating rhythms. UK newcomer Rhymos then offers the dubby roller that is ‘Grey Table’, Israel’s accomplished Chaim then gets seriously spiritual and serene on his ‘Too Dark For You’ and Italian pair Hunter/Game make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up with their truly moving, majestically melodic  ‘Squares’.

Starting out in 2001 to tie up some loose ends from our regulars, SPEICHER has since become a guarantee for vanguard dance sounds from all over the planet, allowing KOMPAKT to invite and support electronic artists that comfortably inhabit both the delicate and the more deliberate ends of the electronic music spectrum. For SPEICHER 83, Italian tag team HUNTER/GAME present two hand-cranked live jams rich in atmospheric detail and flattening punch. This was followed by their strong rework of Weval's "Gimme Some" - a much-acclaimed highlight of our Total 15 compilation (KOMPAKT 340 CD 125). The new material sees them digging even deeper into the hardware circuits while cranking up the momentum a notch or two: opening banger ADAPTATION doesn't feel the need to ease you into the experience, dropping you right in the middle of its frenzied staccato synth throb instead. Meanwhile, THE PATH opts for rich, saturated colors and epic melodies, slowly building its case until it's ready to blow its lid. These are two extraordinary techno tunes that will command your attention and leave no floor unturned - an essential release for both the label and the artists.

Hunter/Game project was born thanks to the artistic inspiration of two Italian producers based between Milan and New York.
They perform secrets loft parties, in which they are able to express their unique sound.
In addition they are also founders of the well known party called “Just This”
