In 2010, Self Congratulatory One Man Reach Around Records was proud to present Plebian's debut release "Plebian E.P." The long anticipated release from the Texas based band led by song-writing juggernaut and Producer Hunter Mischnick. The release features 5 songs showcasing Hunter's captivating voice, genre-spanning and innovative song writing style. Plebian's songwriting is unyielding and fearless touching on subjects as the limits of sanity and relationships (Note to Self), family tragedy (Help Yourself), loss of identity (Chicago), and inner demons (Tonight, Our Top Story). Plebian's debut E.P. is a must-hear release for any music lover. They seamlessly blend more foreign influences such as barbershop quartet, Tuvan throat singing, Japanese Noh drama, and vaudeville into their personalized amalgamation of catchy, progressive rock and pop. Each song is a timeless composition of art that together makes for a modern opus.

2020 proves to be an ambitious year for the band, as Plebian re-emerged from a 10 year hibernation with a new two-song single entitled "Skullduggery." Plebian once again creates a catchy, unique take on Rock music that’s both original, yet familiar. On the surface, the song "Social Assassin" is an upbeat, well-polished Rock single capable of radio success. However the lyrics are surprisingly refreshing with scathing tongue in cheek social commentary on the burgeoning issues of mental illness and narcissism due to societal immersion into social media. 

With renewed enthusiastic diligence, Plebian released the new three-song single called "Phantasmagorical" May 15th, 2020. The opening track entitled "Familiar Stranger" explores past life relationships and the yearning for peace and closure. Otherworldly space echo vocals combined with melodious guitar are suspended over a static blanket of swirling analog synthesizers and the humming of vintage tape machines. The sternum-shaking sub bass was synthesized from the hazy drone of a homemade drum loop and was carefully performed by the turning of a single pitch knob. "Phantasmagorical" introduces a new era of production for Plebian, including the use of reel-to-reel tape machines, haunting tape echos, and vintage mixing boards.
