Thank you dear Bo Irion for inviting me to mix with you on your radio show Music-nonstop / RadioXFrankfurt. Bo Irion is a role model for me and a friend who believes in my sound and supports my music. He gave me the opportunity to do a residency (berlin nights) in my favorite club (Tanzhaus West/Frankfurt am Main), where I've been dancing for 10 years. Thank you Bo Irion you make dreams come true and without him I could not live and practice my passion the way I can now. I am all the more pleased to have played back2back with him for the first time for 3 hours on his radio show.

The actual planning of the evening was that each of us would play a set for an hour alone and we would play for the last hour b2b. 
Without further ado we decided ... oh come on let's just play directly b2b until the end of the broadcasting time.
Boirion thought we were going to play a little faster that night and I thought we were going to play a little slower than normal that night.

Ratepus JD, dj, promotor i miłośnik winyli, od lat jest aktywnym uczestnikiem łódzkiej sceny. Przygodę muzyczną rozpoczął w 1993 roku jako wokalista i frontman miejscowego zespołu funk-rockowego Kisiel. Po rozpadzie zespołu w 2003 roku zaczął odwiedzać kluby z undergroundową taneczną elektroniką i w ten sposób odkrył świat rejwerów, który wkrótce dał początek jego pierwszym występom DJ-skim. Od lat dziecięcych osłuchany z psychodelią lat 60. i 70., a później w latach 90-tych z elektroniką, jak Autechre, Orbital, Plaid, Leftfield, Red Snapper, AphexTwin, Board of Canada a przede wszystkim The Future Sound of London przełożyło się na jego styl grania. Po pięciu latach ponownego występowania, staje się nieodłączną częścią lokalnej sceny elektronicznej. Przez ostatnie 10 lat sprowadza do Łodzi wielu producentów, głównie spoza kraju, a także organizuje lokalne eventy, z których najważniejszym dokonaniem był festiwal muzyki elektronicznej, który muzycznie współtworzył z Maciejem Ożógiem odpowiedzialnym za jego część ekperymentalną. L'tronica odbyła się dwa razy i była udaną próbą przywrócenia Łodzi dawnej świetności, jako jednej z pierwszych kolebek rozwoju sceny rejwerskiej. Jego sety to połączenie różnych styli, od dub techno przez house, po wpływy rumuńskiego minimalu.

Regardless of what people tell you everybody needs a little groove in their life from time to time so for this weeks podcast we secured the services of our go to guy when we’re looking for our house equivalent of our five a day: Martin Landsky. Needing little introduction we’ve long been fans of Martin both as a producer and a DJ. 

Hailing from Hamburg, Martin has been moving crowds for almost three decades, touring the globe and rocking some of the world’s best parties – with everywhere from Berlin to Brooklyn housing his irrepressible talents. Not content with smashing it as both in the DJ booth and the studio he’s also turned his hand distribution and running a label, working for Container Distribution and later for Word And Sound – one of the world’s largest distributers – whilst helming his own label, Effortil Records. Having just reprised his with association with Poker Flat for the release of his new EP 'Da Geh Bo’ (we’ve got the three track effort both in our heads and on our playlists) we thought the time was right for him take the reins on our podcast series. A musical epiphany came when Juliet discovered Chicago House and Detroit Techno in her early teens – her love for the sounds of this raw, jacking underground music drew her to dig deeper into its history, amassing a record collection from labels like Trax, Dance Mania and Cajual.

Quickly setting up her own record label in Attraction Music, and a radio show on Bloop.fm, Juliet instantly gained a stronghold in the London scene with residencies in the capital city & regular performances at clubs like Fire & The Egg.

But it is on the production front where Juliet’s creativity really shines. Showcasing her innate musicality, Juliet uses her own vocals in a unique style to create deep, dark techno and tech house with an addictive edge. This originality has seen her music signed to the likes of Cajual, Toolroom and Love & Other, and has resulted in collaborations with the likes of Green Velvet and Sonny Fodera.

Over the bank holiday weekend, May 28 & 29, Juliet Fox will be a part of the massive We Are FSTVL, where he plays Saturday’s Main Stage. The much loved festival will feature over 200 of dance music’s finest artists across 16 bespoke stages, as 50,000 fans converge in London. To get us ready for that epic event, Juliet has provided us with this exclusive podcast.
